i was shopping for a little test notebook we use as a one-time-use essay booklet when my friend comes by, and we start heading towards the entrance door, not the exit by the cash registers. we walk casually for a while and i look down and realize i had the booklet in plain sight under my arm all this time!
its funny that this isnt the first time it happened to me. i once was in spencers gifts looking around and found a lil ball and started playing with it, and accidently walked out with it without knowing.
this ever happen to you guys?

Hasn't happened to me haha, I've always payed for what I take out. I sometimes walk out with the towels they hand out at the gym though (suppose to return it into the bin as you walk out), but I guess it's a little different from your situation.

I one time accidentally placed a chocolate bar in my pocket then about 5 minutes after leaving the store I discovered it. It was rather startling.

I walk out with glasses etc. from restaurants where the glasses are not meant to be taken out. I've always been too embarrassed to take them back so I have a couple of free glasses. Neat.

something similar has happened to me,
except, it was with money.
i was walking towards a store with $20 in my hand, a minuet later i realized it was gone, that my hand had opened up because i had forgotten it was in my hand, and i dropped it somewhere in the parking lot.

I would really get worried at it. When you subconsciously steal something it means you want to do that. You can work on it to not make it happen again though.

Reminds me of a funny story. I shoplifted all the fucking time when I was about 14. I was becoming a kleptomaniac. I finally got caught in the most ridiculous way. I decided to steal a Playboy, and this Phantasy Star Online walkthrough that was like $30. I put them both in my coat, but on separate sides and kind of tucked them under my arm pit. I tried walking out of the store, but one of the clerks seen me. I had been caught. So I get taken into the back and shes lifts up one side of my coat, and finds the playboy and takes it. That was all the searching they did. They called the cops, cops showed up and took me home. During this entire time. I was pouring sweat, because I still had the PSO magazine tucked in the other side of my coat. That was by far the most nerve racking experience of my life. I never stole again after that haha.

The only thing I've ever accidentally stolen in my life was a some carrot seeds when I was seven I think. I live near a K-Mart. One day I went with my mom, and I saw some carrot seeds in a little kool aid like container. I put them in my pocket, because I was going to ask her to buy them for me.

We eventually left, and as we got in the car I remembered about the seeds. I told my mom, and she asked if I wanted to go back to return them. I was too embarrassed, and scared so I just kept them. They were .25 cents I think.

I planted them a couple days later, and like a couple months later I ate the carrots. I think my mom used them in a soup. They were pretty tasty.

Man I used to steal all the time when I was a retard and when I was poor not too long ago. One time I stole a power drill from Home Depot just up the road from my house because I was high and my friend said I couldn't. I didn't even make a money bet on it or anything, just took it out of the case (it wasn't tied down by a metal wire like they normally are, or maybe it was and I destroyed it in my fervor to prove my friend wrong - honestly don't remember) stuffed it under my jacket and walked out. Because it wasn't out of a box, there was no alarm. The shit was like 10 pounds, and when I woke up in bed with it the next day all I could think was "where did this brand new power drill come from and why the fuck did I sleep with it?"

Getting fucked up is awesome, no?
