But in all seriousness, the movie was alright. I didn't think it was that great to be honest.

i did watch Infernal Affairs, and the US version doesn't do justice...the HK movie is far more complex on many more layers... the problem i have with the director, when he was asked if there would be a 'sequel'... he replied.. "most likely, it will probably be a PREQUEL.." that pissed me off because the Infernal Affairs 2 IS A PREQUEL... he does not acknowledge that what so ever...

If they had just devoted like 5 more minutes to him finally retiring and trying to live a good life, maybe I would have got a sense of freedom, which would have made the ending sad as it was, it was just a failed good guy thing. I was surprised, but as much as I liked the character, there just wasnt enough at stake to really move me. still a very good movie, but IMO, 5 more minutes of development would have made it amazing havent seen the departed

+ Show Spoiler + Things in particular that were particularly disappointing were: Why the fuck did Matt Damon turn on Nicholson at the end of the movie? He DID NOT explain the whole Nicholson being a FBI informatant thing, or at least if he did, the way he explained it was a load of CRAP. In Infernal Affairs, they at least showed flashbacks of scenes where Andy (equivalent to Matt Damon's role) revealed that his bad-guy roots were becoming more and more faded by his new role as a detective. How the hell did Leo and the girl develop that relationship. That was just so retarded. And then in the end, he goes like, you're the only person I can trust now. Um.... I don't think having sex with her merits your trust already. They don't know each other at all.
