So I kind of feel I should say ToD1 just because it's Tales, even though I haven't played it. Growlanser...don't know much about it other than it's also Career Soft. No need to play FFT again dur. At least L5 beats that. -_-;;

I thought they weren't, but I haven't played them except for 3. I know at least FF2j's leveling is much gayer than RS3's, as there's no skills to learn, and it takes even longer to grind for weapon levels I think.

but don't cheat -- no cloning of weapons if you want a challenge, don't use special characters once they're added to your party aka no argias or orlandu orlandu makes the game too easy

If you want a really challenging game, I wouldn't play ToD1, it has it's moments, but it's not really too difficult. If you want a fun game, with a good story though, I'd play it. It's a decent length, especially for one disc. I guess if you've played the other ones first, it will be hard for you to appreciate it as much, since the improvements in the others are really quite nice, but the story and gameplay is still really excellent, so I'd reccomend it. oh, and the one thing that's really enjoyable later in the game, I guess it's partially a spoiler, but not a spoiler of the story, is this dungeon... + Show Spoiler + Tower of Druaga a 60 floor dungeon with no save spots. It is completely optional, but if you do play it, you're basically obligated to go through it. I've played pretty much the whole series in order, and ToD1 is my top 2 of the series, so I guess that says something. Just play whatever you think you'll enjoy though.
