he even went to Iran but got stopped on the border since he didn't have some specific type of visa i think it's pretty crazy i wouldntve done it, but he told me there's whole community out there that even has internet website and pretty much u can go anywhere in the world and there will be another hitchhiker who will share his house with you. Cool? | ||

My own statistics what kind of people will give you a ride: - bored business people - older couples who hitch hiked them selfes in the 60's - cool, young people - harmless weird people who just want to talk about their religion or something Bottom line: For pretty much any part of Europe, it's totally safe. Especially in Eastern countries where hitch hiking is still really common. Totally random people will give you ride and stop at the next restaurant and invite you to a full meal with everything. Or offer to come over to their home for dinner. In the US the biggest problem are in fact the police. Hitch hiking is legal in most states in the US, the problem is that most people including the cops don't know about it. | ||
