The best hamburger I have ever eaten has to be at The Winking Lizard. Swiss cheese, grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms, absolutely delicious medium. Its not perfect, and I want to try new burgers still. I love hamburgers, and I am sure there is no perfect burger, but i love trying new combos.

So tl, what is YOUR favorite burger.

If you're ever in California. I'd suggest going to the popular burger joint called "In-N-Out".

They serve just burgers, and I didn't have a problem with it since they were the best burgers I've ever had.

That southern barbecue burger does sound appetizing.

I'm pretty sure. I saw tons of them when I went to southern California a couple years ago.

Uh, I don't know what to call it, but a burger with pepperjack cheese, onion rings, jalapenos, and BBQ sauce is heaven.

well, in-n-out burgers are pretty good in terms of taste but thats because its a fast food place, they're meant to be tasty. in terms of overral quality though they aren't any better than other fast food places. not to mention their menu is really limited ;x

i can't say for sure the best hamburger i've had but generally whenever bacon is involved it makes the burger 5x better.

Of course their menu is limited. They just serve burgers, and french fries.

I personally think bacon ruins a burger.

mmmmm 20x20

In all seriousness, In-N-Out is probably my favorite fast food place for burgers despite it's limited menu. For anyone who's never been there, there are more options that aren't advertised on the menus if it helps.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In-N-Out_Burger_menu_items
The most popular being animal style fries or burgers.

Animal style fries are topped with cheese, onions, and spread (kind of like thousand island dressing), while burgers are grilled with mustard and topped with extra spread, grilled onions, and pickles.

There's just so many different kinds of good combinations, especially if you go to some gourmet burger places. Some of my favorite non-standard toppings for burgers are avocados, mushrooms, onion rings, and jalapeno peppers (not all at once, although that may be good too...).

5guysburgersandfries
soooooooo good

also, i really like this nearby greek diner's specialty burger with feta, mayo, mushrooms, and onions. doesn't sound like much but it's one of those things where the flavors just somehow go awesomely well together.

edit: i've had both inandout and 5guys before, i have to say they're pretty close but 5guys burgers just have that extra punch of butter and flavor, they're probably more unhealthy but i think they're tastier!

As long as I don't dislike any of the toppings on a burger, I'm perfectly happy. Whether it be plain, with cheese, white castle, wendy's, diner, ruby tuesday, mcdonald's, burger king, etc

It's all good.

carnival, you have no idea -- it may look like shit, but it's the fucking greatest thing ever (although it's not really fair to compare it in-n-out, because it uses chili, the equivalent of using steroids in sports). probably shouldn't eat more than one a year though, for health reasons.

i don't know...
it really doesn't look appealing. perhaps my dislike for chili is the reason, but the damned thing looks like it's drowning.
i'm tempted to raise red flags here and say that's burger abuse.

if anybody here lives in fremont, there's a terrific place downhill from Ohlone college called mission burger. if you went to HS here you're bound to know about it. it's run by nazi korean women who are hella rude, but the burgers are always really fresh, flavorful, and mouthwateringly delicious for a good price.

oh, also while it's a lot more expensive than your typical burger, chili's and other "middle class dining" places have terrific and really beefy burgers

oh and yes it's better than in and out
like better by an order of magnitude

Bogan Burger. - 1700 Calories
This was on the news a little while back.

The $15.50 burger's big turkish bread roll is topped with a steak, a chicken schnitzel, a potato cake, bacon, egg, cheese, onion, pineapple and beetroot.

There's no asking if you want fries with that.

The burger comes with a mountain of fat potato wedges.

Oh, and salad.

Apparently they sell about 15 a day...

wow these actually do look good. Although endless fries is really cheap for them; their just potatoes and they are making you pay 8 dollahs for a hamburger.

GG NO RE!

wow these actually do look good. Although endless fries is really cheap for them; their just potatoes and they are making you pay 8 dollahs for a hamburger.

red robin isn't a fast food joint. it's a sit-down restaurant.

All right if Red Robin is a sit down restaurant then $8 is a fair price. How good are their fries?

their fries are orgasmic. fat fries, with optional seasoning. you can ask for ranch to dip it in as well with no charge.

White Castle. Those onions are so good.

Although I have to say as long as the meat is juicy any burger is good.
