Why it's incomprehensible that it makes sense for me to /f r Sea[Shield]. I don't play with him b/c it's a rather waste of time for both of us, plus the time zones dont match up, and I'd rather spend what playing time I have playing pple who I'd actually have a fighting chance against.
There's plenty of pple wanting to play Sea, and I'm not particularly keen so why not just let the more interested guys go at it. So that "I'd have a story" from playing a top tier progamer? Okay, I guess most people would be enthralled at the opportunity, and I might have been before the occasion actually came up. But once it was in front of me, I simply felt no interest in doing so and wasn't enamored by the possibility of saying "hey guys i got raped by sea the other day on blue storm." I think it's prefectly fine and I understand why pple are enchanted by it, but is it that hard to accept that it doesnt particularly interest me? It is beyond me how this can be misconstrued into "Haji is above playing vs a progamer," just because we dont think alike? Did I personally diss you for playing Sea or whatever? I sincerely doubt it.
I don't talk to sea on bnet b/c anything said there would be incredibly superficial. What am I going to talk to him about? How his practice is going - okay. How his lunch was - good. Which girl in Girls Generation is hot - no idea but I'm sure he has some preference. Whatever channel he's in is filled with 20-30 pple spamming away stuff in broken english you'd hardly call it a conversation anyways. If I need to talk to him I'll do so via msn or email. I'd get a much more meaningful answer there anyways. You make it seem like I should be obligated to make small talk with him with every damn opportunity I get.
I removed him when adding a friend I'd actually talk with and play with on west. If I dont feel inclined to talk to or play Sea on west, why should I have him on my friends list? Not having the most big shot celebrity friends I have on my friends list automatically makes me a bastard that's too important for them? What the hell I dont even have Nony, Inc or Idra on my friends list and those are 'gosu' acquaintances I should have on my f list according to these guidelines.

Upon revision, yes I'd rather have every single one of these guys on my f list than Sea. I actually play against them and enjoy it, sure I'll get raped by most of them regardless but most of the time I can learn something from it. And there's no question that I talk to these guys more frequently and in a much more meaningful fashion than I would or more importantly, could with Sea.
And somehow my decision translates into: "Haji is too important to not have a progamer on his f list." I am a bm cynic that is too important for progamers apparently. What the fuck man. And I KNOW you're going to come and say "wtf why are you makign such a huge deal out of it," but seriously man look at that comment. The question is why you felt the need to make such a massive deal about me removing sea from my friends list in the first place and felt the urge to personally insult my character and rationale for doing so, especially after I explained my reasoning at length to immediately after your first comments remarking about my supposed condescension or whatever you chose to interpret it as.
Seriously, what the hell man. I don't get it. Is it not possible to fathom that the world does not look the same to everyone? Are you going to just shrug it off as me making a huge deal out of nothing?
Since when are personal attacks, assumptions and insinuations "not a big deal," I'd like to know. Are you going to say 'you were joking around'? Honestly it sure didn't seem like it from the way you repeatedly insisted that I was a no-manner, self absorbed SOB over and over each time I tried to explain my reasoning to you. If you turn even this confrontation into "just a joke," after I've made it clear that I've taken serious offense to it, I'm not sure what to say - particularly considering you're familiar with what went down when I was the one going "what's the big deal" after seriously insulting someone both you and I know without my admittance.
I'm "too involved with the scene" for me to take my friends over a progamer on my friends list? WHy the hell should that matter with regards to who I want to spend my time with on bnet. FFS I dont even work for the site or any other broodwar site anymore and as you have declared on many occasions, am 'the shittiest poster on TL' by the estimation of many of us. I'm not going to argue about this dubious distinction bestowed upon me, but wouldn't me being such a shitty member of the community almost absolve me from such "responsibilites" as you make it seem to be? And even if I were still an admin here, what does that have to do with what I do with my time on west, which I certainly do not correlate with my 'work' I did for the site or anywhere else. Now I'm completely going off on a tangent.
What do you think. Am I utterly insane for removing sea from my friends list? Does my reasoning have any semblance of logic to it? Is it so incomprehensible that you'd feel inclined to personally insult me over it?
And btw no I'm not particularly intersted in your response or arguments in this thread, and hope you dont post here. There is a reason why I havent named any names here. The style of writing and 'addressing' the person was simply the most effective means I had in getting the argument across.

ah should of known you were gonna make a blog post about this haji. Anyhow you reasoning makes complete sense. I mean why would you have people on your f list if you aren't going to talk/play with them? I mean damn I even play with you and I"m not on the f list yet. I didn't see that person attack your character too much imo but then again I wasn't playing too much attention past the first couple replies.
On a side note I still don't see how I won that last game v you but it was definitely a gg.

Haha, I suppose you would probably be in the minority of not being interested in playing and superficially 'hanging out' with a progamer. After reading your reasoning I totally understand, though. Shit, even if you didn't have explainable reasoning for it, it shouldn't be of any bother to anyone else to why you're not interested in it, and you most definitely shouldn't be insulted for it.

I mean he could of been completely serious because I don't know how your relationship is with this person, but when I say things like that I do it in a jokily way and not mean it at all. I take things at face value, especially when teh message does not change after my repeated disapproval of it.
My relationship with him is perfectly fine and and harmonious, but htat doesnt mean they cant offend me over oen thing or another.

considering he tends to 'joke' often and troll certain pple I wouldnt put it beyond him.
But if he can tell that I am not pleased and continues to go on his path while I am obviously taking offense, is that not saying somethign else entirely despite his 'intenstions'?
on a side note i hate the internet and text based communcation.

So do I, but yeah if he kept on with his stance after you repeatedly stated you were displeased then I'd say he is in the wrong, but I didn't personally see him keep responding. I just saw you writing long posts with no one really replying back to them myself.
