Yes, the intro class you take in comp sci is java (at most schools), but the 20+ others you take encompass algorithms, computer architecture / hardware / digital logic, compilers, operating systems, parallel processing, security, and computation theory, just to name a subset of what is comp sci. I'm not saying monokeros was correct to assume that comp sci == knowing exactly how a laptop works, but you are on the opposite spectrum as him in terms of being misinformed about comp sci. | ||
