The Fall is comming indeed, Federer can just wait and watch...
Just a couple of minutes ago, Ivo Karlovic won a hard fought match against No.1 Roger Federer. Federer Played Great on his serve till the last set, but the simple fact that Karlovic is just a better server than Federer made all the difference. Final score 7-6,4-6,7-6 for Ivo. What can Federer do now to stop Nadal from getting No.1. Well he can just sit, sit down and hope that someone can stop the Matador. But the chance of that happening, is simply impossible! Now Federer, calm down, focus, and make an effort to bring your golden touch back into the game of tennis.
Just as I opened this topic, a sad day, a sad day indeed...

I hear the sound...the sound of noone caring...

I thought this thread was about sAviOr, but it's about the tennis equivalent, which is close enough

Tennis is such a spectator sport. Quiet, please.

Dude, I'm right there with you. I'm crying for him myself....
My tennis friends texted/messaged me telling me Federer lost b/c everyone knows I love the guy...
|
Federer is just a legend. I dont care if he isnt the no1 anymore, even if i'm not a tennis fan i will always remember him as an awesome champion and a super-gm / classy player.
If Federer manage next year to beat Nadal at Rolland Garros it will be unbelievable ( and awesome ! ).

I don't see why it's a sad day for his dominance to end.

Karlovic is like 10 feet tall O_O and he played very good.

heh I wouldn't go so far as to say he's in a slump but he did make a lot of retarded mistakes in that match
|
god this reminds me so much of savior. except fed is going 2-3 in his losses instead of 0-3.
when i watched both i always had this sense that they were always in control of the match, and regardless of what was happening, the result would always be a mechanical, flawless destruction of their opponent. It never looked like either was really expending any effort, yet always eminating perfection.

i never thought people cared for tennis until i came to TL.

I'm happy to see Federer's dominance come to an end. Plus, Nadal is a southpaw, and I identify with that. Go Nadal!
|
Yay. I'm so sick of Federer.

yeah, this sucks.
I'm all for him taking a break after the olympics to get himself together again mentally.
|
He can take a break now practice well, try and regain his form and get some wins in the Olympics. Then come back and please win the US Open!
