hmm. i havent used a traditional floor board before but i HIGHLY recomend just buying a thick table board instead. purely for practicality. You'll be able to take your board elswehere with relative ease, whereas if you buy a huge bamboo board you'll have a shitload of trouble (bamboo is very very heavy). if you feel comfortable spending that much money you should just buy a 2" kaya from ymimports.com. fantastic site with amazing customer service.
2 and 3/8" kaya board, traditional japanese size: http://www.ymimports.com/Items/yn-tk001-a?&caSKU=yn-tk001-a&caTitle=Kaya - 2-3/8'' Go Board (Japanese Standard Size)
Hmm, yunzi stones are traditional chinese stones. japanese traditonal stones are slate and shell (Super super super expensive). the chinese stones are alot more practical, i.e. single convex ^^. its all preference. i do highly recomend yunzi however, as the double convex yunzi they make are very very sexy.

Their different options are a bit confusing... would you recommend one of the complete sets?

I wish you could have enjoyed the experience a bit, but eh enough people have that it's no big deal if you don't. I agree the board looks very nice. Is it worth spending so much on though? I mean, it might be worth that much just for aesthetic reasons, even if you don't play on it much! Show nested quote +On July 17 2008 23:22 quirinus wrote:It's lame attracting people this way. I didn't buy it, but I wanted to see what were you going to talk about. If the title involved "Go", I'd check it out anyway... As for the topic, that table looks helluva nice. If you have the money to spend, and the will to play Go so much that it's beneficial to buy that table, go for it.
I did find it funny, but it's still cheating! I mean, come one, if eveyone starts false advertising we'll have a blog section filled with sex sex pussyhair. If that happens I'm bound to stop checking every blog to find something interesting and I'll stop reading the blog section. Ofc using false advertising here and there can be funny, but let's not loose our sense of humor.
Aestethically you'd have to see if it fits the other furniture, and where you'd put it. I'd put it in my room even if I didn't play it much if there wasn't the price, as is with everything. Doh. >.<
I actually never played Go, but it tickeled my curiosity for a long time and I've always wanted to learn it - since it's portrayed as a highly skill-dependent and hard, yet fun and "simple" game.

I love this game, the title was a bummer though

The drawers suck balls dont do it. I'd love one with legs but they are WAY to expensive. I'm too lazy to edit.
