There are two different times of "kinda drunk". One when you're actually kinda drunk. You've had a few drinks and you feel it starting to affect you. The second is when you're so drunk that you don't realize you're really drunk and you think you're "kinda drunk". Something tells me you're in the latter stage

Or he's fucking up his typing to seem drunk and cool. I know lots of people including myself that dont slur their typing to match their speech when inebriated.
