I had to stop before, because i removed some teeth, and everything was going great, but my willpower failed one day, and I bought a pack, I wasant smoking cigs for like 1 month, and it was all ruined. I kept telling myself that it would be the last pack (like ... lol, i just wanted to keep smoking) and basically, i smoked 2-3 more months. Now im quitting again, and now im prepared for my subsconcious trying screw me up, but whoever said when you come back its twice as addictings and twice as strong is totally right, I never enjoyed ciggaretes as much as I do now, and this is one of the main reasons im stopping, i was smoking like a fucking chimney. Im amazingly anxious. | ||

there is no such thing as wanting to stop smoking. you either stop or you continue smoking. just visualize yourself watching yourself from a third person perspective. externalize your conscience. | ||

It's not that easy. Trust me, if you smoked, you'll understand. Usually when people tell me to stop/quit smoking, I tell them to "fuck off". This is due to the fact that most of them are non-smokers, and are ignorant and clueless. They don't know how it feels, and they just see it as another ordinary habit, like biting your nails. It is not as simple as "just stop", or "don't buy any". If you have smoked regularly past the 2-3 month mark, it becomes a deep, subconscious part of your soul. When you can't have one when you want, you become nervous, jittery, and easily angered. When you have a smoke, you start to feel relaxed, calm, and better than you were. This is because nicotine causes your brain to release dopamine, a fluid that tells your body "I feel good". And to have that power, and to lose it, is something a non-smoker will never know. I have smoked for almost 4 years. I wish I had never started, but sometimes I don't. I don't because even though I know I can get cancer, that feeling is too strong to "just let go". I have a bad temper, and smoking keeps me calm. It helps me deal with situations that I normally can't. During my period I tried to quit, I couldn't do things I used to do. I took seminars and classes, but they didn't help. I got angered easily, and got into many fights. I shortly started back up again. Nicotine is the most powerful drug in existence. It's addictiveness level is stronger than every know drug, including crack and heroin. It is not a joke, because I know its true. I seem to have ranted enough, If you read through all that, my apologies. On a serious note however, if you need help quitting, someone to talk to, or advice in general about smoking please PM me. The first time I tried it was when I was about five years old when my aunt was smoking one and left it there, I got curious and took a sip and immediately started coughing and never touched it again. It was burning my throat! Since then I've hated cigarretes. | ||
