Daum Player on mac via Virtualbox

jgad Canada899 Posts July 03 2008 12:40 GMT #1 Sweet - finally had to buy a new laptop after leaving my iBook on London's 74 bus to Putney The good news is that, being a Macbook with an Intel processor, all sorts of new possibilities open up. I decided to go with virtualbox, which is a free, open-source project which does something similar to Parallels - run Windows from inside your Mac! The result? Check it out - Daum Player on my Mac desktop. SCHWEET!

JWD United States12607 Posts July 03 2008 12:42 GMT #2 Yep, I do the same thing with VMWare Fusion. Works great, Daum is never laggy (unless it's because of the network).

jgad Canada899 Posts July 03 2008 12:52 GMT #3 Yeah, I had bought an old PC just to run Daum and a few other bits but ended up giving it to my housemate when his machine collapsed on him. Daum was always flawless - crisp and perfect stream, no lag - it's awesome. It's great to have it back up and running again.
