Job Hunting Woes

So recently around the end of my semester I realized I had to find a second job then a few weeks after that realized I might as well go full time for coverage purposes and just go to school in the evening hours. Basically I have applied to no more than nine different jobs in the past month and half of them being full time positions and I have not heard from a single one.

Maybe it is because I am only applying for jobs/companies that offer educational reimbursement but damn it sucks not hearing anything. And I'll be damned if I am going to stay at that fucking Hospital with those gossip/drama filled fucking coworkers of mine.

Yeah I should find a job as well. I had a part time job at Target, but I was fired after only 2 months. I kind of want to work at Big Lots. That place is great.

I'm curious, what hospital drama?

It's about 50-50 if I'm going to be looking for a job in ~1 year :-/

Honestly, 9 in the past month and a half isn't much. I'm not suggesting that you go flood the market with a generic resume and don't put much thought into an application, but odds are that you're just like any other person and don't have any really special skills/experience that will help set you apart from everyone else. In that case, it's more of a crapshoot where you need to throw as much shit as you can until something sticks. The more applications that you put out there, the better the odds of you eventually getting a job, so just keep on plugging away.

In any case, I know what it's like to job hunt and it's no fun to wait at home for a phone call back. Good luck!
