Alright, so I recently made a blog post about switching to Zerg. I got quite a few comments, mostly saying goodluck, some saying I was traitor and I think Chill likened it to playing in a windtunnel. Awesome.
So today was the first day on iCCup and I went 4-3. That is not bad I suppose. Though I learned a few things right away:
1 ) Wholly shit is it a lot harder to macro. The first game I would put my extra hats at random bases, so my layout was a lot like: main - 3 hat, natural - 2 hat, 2nd natural - 2 hat and so on. It would be the same as a Protoss making their gateways two at a time and in random locations. Hard to get used to, but now I just put all my extra hats in my main. Brainpower.
2 ) Besides macroing, there is easily four to five times as many things to do as a Zerg than a Protoss. I don't spam at all, so as a Protoss, I just start the game and just kind of chill for the first two minutes. It's not like i'm wigging out now that I am playing Z, but I am definately finding it harder to keep track of everything past the ~5minute mark. Oh the humanity.
3 ) Muta micro is hard. I'l be honest, when Zerg's would complain about battle.net latency and hype up LAN latency, I would usually just call them bitches and end it at that, but there is such a difference I feel like such a tool now. I would apologize to the Zergs I said that too, but I am a manly man, so no can do.
4 ) It's really fun annoying the hell out of Protoss. As a Protoss player before, I would cleverly call these players faggots, but now I realise how fun it is to go 9pool and follow up with some really fast mutalisk or something. Just anything to piss them off. I also experienced the joy of having a guy cuss me out after I made sunk lurk spore and smartly suicided into it. Great fun.
It's only been one day, so I don't have much else to say. Expect more tomorrow.

I play zerg the second most frequently, and I can say, there are <5 times as many things to do.

I saw a replay of 9 overpool speedlings and I am like "HOLY SHIT THAT IS FUCKING AMAZING." So yeah. Pretty much.

ZvP is so great because you have such great map awareness at all times that you can basically make anything work if you do it right.

haha lol awesome man. I am a noob but whenever I switch from terran to protoss i am pro xD. Protoss are so fucking easy lol. Every unit is rock hard, they can do unlimited uber harass, their ground army is invincible and half medics itself. Their fucking minerals OMG! They have SO FUCKING MANY so fucking quickly! It feels like double the amount terran have ><.

@Fusion, unfortunately yes! Protoss takes a lot of skill too, but I think it's definately easier to play Protoss. I'm slowing getting used to the craziness of Zerg.
@Ancestral, your entitled to your opinion, but for mathematical purpose; assuming there is no spamming (you have to take my word for it when I say this) I usually have 130-140 APM as Protoss and I do just fine. I have 160-180 in all my Zerg games and I am like.. a D level Zerg, so it definately requires a lot more micromanagement imo.

@Hamer, I guarantee if I played Zerg for a month and switched back, I would play Protoss a lot better from just having to get used to the speed of things. That being said, I don't think I'l want to switch back.
@Quesadilla, oddly enough, I've done alright ZvZ so far. Keep in mind i've only played regular D's, but I am done pretty well for myself thus far.

I'm actually thinking of changes race as well. Do you think I should switch to toss or are there too many already? I'm Terran atm

Id be a terran or zerg if I could. Im better at macro with a zerg, and know terran BO's more, but their play styles dont fit me. Sometimes I wish I could handle the other races well, but im stuck with toss. No reason for you to be, though!
