Well im sort of a everyday stoner as well..Being on probation kinda prohibits that...Im directly opposite of you in such a way. When I would get high I used to like to get mostly all daily chores out of the way and loved to do errands while high. Hence sometimes I would forget to do one or two things but I guess writing down a list helps from time to time.

Now your question is kinda hard to relate to b/c everyone is different. The way I put it in perspective is that it needs to be done high or not high. Otherwise your just going to have a heavy load on yourself probably at a time that you will not want to do it at all. Hope you can find a way to cope with yourself on being high nor high...

The main problem is your friend..... Just think, would you smoke if there was no friend who would offer? I mean, i never smoked alone... It's just boring and useless.

The way I look at it is like, yeah, I could probably get stoned and do whatever I need to do. But I wouldnt be 100% stoned and I wouldnt be 100% focused on my work. I can get my shit done faster sober, then get twice as stoned after cuz I dont have any more responsibilties for the day!

set rules and then be unreasonable about those rules. if you want to be able to smoke weed but you also want to get alot done, then set specific times of the day or week that you smoke, and get stuff done during the other times.

and when you set these times, make sure that it is clear in your mind that you are not to break these rules, and if anyone tries to pressure you into doing otherwise tell them to fuck off

that's how I do it anyways

Hopefully he's not one of those friends that bust out with "Well dude do whatever you want but im going to be stoned 24/7"....Otherwise consider him that friend that you can hang out with only during times that you can smoke..Recently I have been able to be around my friends even thou they smoke but then again probation comes into play with my situation...

Hmmm I smoke roughly a gram a day split with my gf. Sometimes a bowl or two in the day and then again late late at night. I just kinda operate in burnt out phase but it doesn't seem really that bad because I'm a pretty easy bake so I don't smoke lots at a time and in turn I don't burn out as hard. I can play SC while high, just not as good and I'm only a little sluggish when burnt out. Sometimes you just need to willpower through and do what needs to get done.

Somewhat related, was bsing with some friends and got on the convo of legalize (in the broad sense of the term, not just weed).

One of them (non smoker~) said something to the extent of anyone who smokes regularly (referring to someone like me, who only smokes after his shit is done) isnt as productive as someone who doesnt smoke. He doesnt seem to believe me that theres no ill effects the next day and that i'd rather do that any day of the week than show up hung over and be a bum.

Weed definitely makes me lazy.

The reward system is best for me. Or my buddy's system: weekends including friday, plus a floater. 4 days on, 3 days off. The floater is key; it's your emergency day.
Also, smoking in the morning is sure to make you drag-ass all day.

I'm also a kinda daily smoker. The problem is, that i have school leaving exams, and its really important, b/c my further education depends on these exams. In spite of this i was totally high every day the week before the 1st exams, and after that also. I couldn't concentrate on learning or when i was filling those tests.

've tried to learn and do thing while i'm high, I couldn't. Tried to split my day, do the shit and then get high, I didn't work. If i smoked in the evening, then didn't get to bed till dawn, and next day i was totally chilled.

I'm really tired of school and my exams, but this dose of weed makes it more tiring. I will have another exam next Monday, and i didn't smoke for two days. My thoughts are coming back, I can plan my learning in the remaining days. I think if it works, then i think i switch to occasionally smoking. DrainX i think you should do something like that. If you smoke rarely, then you can rate better those days it's not one of the thousand.
