So I am a freshman at college, and I applied for this on campus tech job like four weeks ago. I went through two interviews. The second one was a technical interview which I totally bombed for whatever reasons (i seriously didn't know the answers to about half the questions, and was too timid to make bold guesses on some others I was borderline on).
They told me if I was accepted I'd know in about 3 days. And nothing came after 3 days. Just today, I checked my email and suddenly the dude who's in charge says he wants me, after like 2 weeks of nothing.
I'm pretty sure they were going to reject me but nobody else came and he was desperate after a few weeks, lol :/
And i'm pretty desperate for a job too haha, except I was adamant about not working in food services or anything gay like that.
So yeah... I (think) I got the job, it starts with like a few weeks of training if I don't fuck that up I feel so pathetic because they were probably gonna reject me at first anyways but were just desperate.

5 stars because of one point - food services suck. I just went without a job and now owe everyone on erf money because the only ones available were in dining halls.

haha that sucks man, good luck with your new job, even if you were not desired immediatly, you got the job and thats money. Plus now you get to learn shit.

Food service isn't that bad, as long as it isn't dining commons. Pay might not be so great, but you'll be able to eat a lot of free food (which is immensely invaluable to a college student).

Why do you feel pathetic you got the job while not knowing shit that's awesome.
What are you sad about it's not like anyone will think less of you as a person, just start working and try to do a good job.

Yeah, who cares? You got a job you're not qualified for, that's those corperative bastards' loss!

Congratuations, don't feel bad, you'll learn a lot during this job. They'll teach you everything you need to know, don't worry. Does the job involve going around campus and getting lecture hall equipment working and stuff like that?
What questions did they ask you in the interview btw?
