Im sitting in my room reading, when my sister walks in. She starts yelling at me, that i should get off my ass and go out and help around the house with my dad, since we just got a load of dirt to spread around the lawn. she says somdthing along the lines of "dad is really old and he shouldnt have to do all that work outside u should go out and help him for at least an hour, u lazy asshole" she goes on in this way for a few more minutes. I say "i have to work in 2 hours and i dont want to spend an hour of my only free time this weekend shoveling dirt why dont u go out there and help him?" she gets extremely mad swears at me a bit more then slams the door on her way out, while still swearing and goes out to help my dad.
I thinking this is a fucking joke, continue to read. My mom then comes up the stairs a few minutes later, and says basically the same exact thing.
Finally i just go outside and help my dad, with my sister. There was two shovels a big one and a small one, and my sister "volinteers" to use the small one. I had to shovel dirt into a wheel barrel and then move it to the right spot dump the dirt then bring it back.
After i do this about 15 times, and my back is killing me i ask my sister to do it once. She looks at me the dirtiest way and says "u lazy asshole ive been out here way longer then u (5 mins)" and she drops the shovel and walks inside.
I continue shoveling and dumping about 5 more times, then decide to go in. My mom and sister are in the kitchen, i walk in get a drink and then go to walk upstairs. They then start to swear at me and call me lazy and an asshole. Then i say that my mom didnt go out at all and my sister did almost no work compared to me.
Long story short im grounded. Are all women like this???

your family members call each other "assholes"? sorry to hear that man.. anyway people, women often, will tolerate other stuff for a while and then explode, in an out of proportion manner, on something unrelated; you just have to identify the other stuff to understand their behavior..

Yes.
The trick is to basically do the opposite of what you are doing and work really fast and they'll feel embarrassed. (and possibly lazy themselves, especially if you poke fun at them ^^ )
If you are in the slightest bit reluctant they have the high ground and you are fucked.

Funny.
My girlfriend just bitched at me in a similar manner, which left me completely dumbfounded.
Basically, she just cooked dinner and we ate and then came to look at pictures of this Frisian island, Juist, on Flickr because we're going there tomorrow and I wanted to get an idea of what kind of skyline it would be presenting.
Anyway, I noticed that she didn't finish her glass of wine and had left it on the table, so I assumed that she was done with it (because that is usually the case, that she doesn't finish her drinks, especially alcohol) so I just brought my glass of wine - so then she goes on a rant of how I only think of myself. I'm like, wtf, you never finish your drinks so I just brought mine.
Then she is like, "So what if that's true, you should have brought it anyway."

stand up for your right!! get mad at them and refuse any contact until they realise their shitty behaviour. you shouldn't let them tramp you down like this. and make sure you'll react way faster and more intensely should something like this ever happen again.
i know everyone's relationship with their family is different, but still you can't let them treat you so disrespectfully. it could turn out to a bad habit for both you (getting used to be treated like that) and them (continue this type of behaviour towards them).

I'm guessing you're a little younger than I am. All that BS ends soon though, it's replaced with other BS, but it's not quite as demeaning. Parents / chores etc. = gay.

Sounds to me like your family is sick of you slacking off and not contributing to the housework. Did you consider that maybe you're at fault, and not them? I mean, what kind of fucking excuse is "I don't want to shovel dirt"? It's your parents for god's sake. You're supposed to fucking help them.

I'd assume his sister didn't have to work, or else he wouldn't have made that argument. If she does work as much as he does, I agree that it's invalid. But in my experience

I agree with ahrara, you'r the stupid idiot who wants everything served to you... Did your dad get paid for it? I dont think so, he used his own freetime to do it. Does your mom get money for doing the laundry? I dont think so either... Stop bitching about helping out at home, it's everyones duties! And as for your sister walking in before you, well suit yourself you gave her the excuse to get in early.
