Looking to get rid of my wow account. LvL 70 UD Mage on the US PvP server Tichondrius, it's open for server/account transfering, about 2.5k gold on character and flying mount. Armory currently showing my raid gear. Also got just under 5k arena points banked and a very solid PvP gear set up including pieces from both arena 1 and 2 sets as well as crafted epics all jeweled and enchanted to the tits.

The transaction will be a completely legal transfer of ownership as stated in the Blizzard EULA.

Any questions send me a pm or msg me on aim at ArtofAlone.

Goodluck, although I doubt a hardcore BW community will give you any customers.

I think accounts are alot harder to sell with the arena system, compared to before. Basically only an epic mount will give you a slight edge over the hundreds of other accounts for sale.

If you sell your account for enough money to break even with your past subscription fees you will have done well.

I'll offer $100

also if you're really serious about selling it, please don't tell me TL is the only place you're advertising it

I'm posting it on a few random places. I know TL has a lot of wow players so just added it in.

Suggestions on other places to post?

Thats easy lol, I was getting 1200-1600 per account for awhile and I've only payed like 400-500 in script fees for the last 3 years.

Man, the gear is solid, it's a class I want to play, and it's on a server that I have friends on. >_<

If I had more money, I'd definitely make a serious offer, but at the moment, I can't offer much at all.

I've sold several characters for over $1k (1,800 being the highest), but it was a character with perfect PvP gear and nearly perfect PvE gear (before most people had it), along with a ton of gold and all the trimmings. PvP characters usually don't get very much though. The titles/mounts are easy to get and anyone can get a full set, so you really need great PvE gear to get a good average offer (it's always possible to find an idiot who will overpay.)

mmobay is what I used.

As for "making money" selling WoW characters, you might have only paid $300-400 in subscription fees, but when you check your /played, you'll find you're making like 50 cents per hour. Selling accounts is like a tax refund check, after you've wasted way too much time/effort playing the awful game.

Oh yea for sure, you're making barely .50/hr at best, but for the time I would rather play wow 12hours a day than work 6-8 at a job. I haven't touched this account since July. At the time of quitting this was the best geared pve mage on the server. Money isn't an issue, more just getting rid of it since the expansion is coming and if I keep it I'll most likely get sucked back into playing again.

Sorry to hijack your thread, I used to play on tichondrius too, never raided in BC, only back in original wow. I've got a 70 warlock with a normal flying mount and a 65 rogue, both very poorly geared cause I haven't played in about a year. How much do you think I could fetch for it? Where are the best spots to advertise? Will just grinding my rogue out to 70 increase the value pretty dramatically?

I'll sell you mine, just make me an offer, obviously mine will be worth a lot less than OP's.

Grind it to 70, get a 2nd account move it. Sell it as 2 accounts instead of one you'll get more for it.

I've got mostly just 5 man blues from a year ago, can you give me a price figure?

Depends on the job, but WoW is more of an opiate than an actual game. Most of the time is spent bored out of your mind jumping on the bank and shit.

And that gear was cheating. Bullshit tailoring at the start of TBC.

There is nothing I regret in my life more than the time I spent playing wow, I want some god damn monies for it now! The only thing worse I could have spent like 90 days of my life on would be starting at a wall or dying of cancer or something.

Honestly, the most I would be able to seriously consider offering, for any account, at the moment is like $100. And you could probably sell your account for more than that, even to IGE, or something. :p

If you think about it, you're paying for a copy of world of warcraft and the burning crusade, you're also paying for all the gold he has, and for his time.

I just checked IGE for his faction and server.

2,500.00 gold sells for about $175.00 (192 AUD) Not to mention how much gold he has spent on his talents and mounts. Lets just say $300 (AUD) worth, just as a start
Just checked EBGames, to buy wow and tbc would cost $70.00 (AUD)
$15 for first months subscription.

You're looking at $277.00 (Aud) just to get started, and then it takes anywhere between 190 to 300 hours to level that thing to 70 depending on the class/server/faction.

Even if you were getting paid $1/hour to level, it still makes it very expensive.

I'm against buying toons if you play wow, half the fun of the game is leveling, but I'm just saying, if you are thinking of buying, its crazy and I'd never do it, but the price is justified.

Seriously I started out as JC/Miner then started raiding and spent over 10k gold getting my tailoring up
