Nothing against Klaz, but his fanboys are annoying as hell.

His fans are pretty inaccurate a lot of the time.

I personally think Tasteless is the best english commentator out there and after him is of course Artosis and then imo Diggity. I don't like Klazart that much, he kind of annoys me and I hate listening to him say what the PROGAMERS should do because when I hear it, it is 50% of the time wrong and 90% of the time impossible given the amount of resources they have or w/e. Don't get me wrong though, I of course appreciate him doing it for the community and all. Tasteless is a good commentator, funny and knows the game better then any of the other english commentators along side Artosis which is a big appeal especially to the players who know the game very well also. I don't think it translates as much to the average / newb player though.

Its just ludicrous that someone would say something like "replace" tasteless with someone else. Its not like its a single position job. Nick got it because hes a great personality BUT ALSO because he knows the right people and happens to be adept at the position. If klaz wants to go to korea to do the same thing Tasteless having the job shouldnt stop him..
People hating on Tasteless are fucking stupid. How can you listen to his cast and say "wow that sucks?" You can clearly be of the mind that there are better.. I guess. But you certainly cannot say it sucks.. that'd be wrong.

i think both are greats, but tasteless is the best option here because he has the experiencie from other tournaments and has already "worked" whit PROGAMERS xd

The fact that they call Klaz "Klazartsc" tells you that they are just brainless youtube idiots.
Let's just not get started on the whole commentator bashing again. That was the worst "discussion" on this board since the early days of the sc2 forum.

Please get Klazartsc instead of Tasteless. I've heard Tasteless' commentary before and was beyond bored. Klazartsc's commentary is what got me and thousands more of English speakers into the Proleague. Before Klazartsc I barely even watched Starcraft but now I watch videos every single day. A lot of people would agree with me and probably did the same as me, I bet you. Please take it into consideration and maybe take some time to listen to his commentaries. Basically Tasteless=boring and literally tasteless; and Klazart=in dept analysis, great play by play, great voice, and overall entertaining. Most importantly his commentaries are SUPER addicting. If he posted videos daily I would spend over an hour a day watching them -_-.

Skew put my thoughts forward exactly. Tasteless is the professional, the first and the greatest candidate in terms of experience and developed portfolios of work. That doesn't undermine the efforts of anyone else, merely that Tasteless is the professional.

I've seen all of tasteless at WCG and blizzard invitational and haven't really witnessed it. I know that in these casts he had to keep things things basic cause a lot of people watching dont really know much starcraft...but still, i wasn't really impressed.
So anyway, is there any other tournaments hes casted which display another style of commentary? I am assuming he will commentate quite differently in the GOMTV Invitational considering the hype thats been around TL.
Anyone got links to some of tasteless' best commentary?

I think replacing Tasteless to klazartsc dosen't solve any problem.
Real problem is he is the 'one' English Commentator for GSI. That's the problem.
In Korea, Starcraft relay team has three members(common). An announcer, and two commentator. Tasteless did great job because he have to play three rules alone(announcer, two commentator). If GOMTV has more interest for international relay, they have to set up common style team for english broadcasting.

My favourite commentary with Tasteless was the match he did with Manifesto at Blizzcon.

Tasteless is definitely much more entertaining (which is good for a newbie crowd), but I find that Klaz's understanding of the game seems to be deeper. Unfortunately, sometimes Klaz starts talking so fast I have a hard time understanding him.

The OP of the other thread is rambling on again:
joeyklazartsc is entertaining. that's more important than analysis or experience. with experience tasteless should be more entertaining but he's as drawl as ever. klaz can commentate by himself and continually talk and be enetertaining for a very long time whereas when listening to tasteless i get bored in seconds..
other's say klaz isn't knowledgable.. um i'll agree and say moletrap and diggity aren't knowledgable but klaz knows his stuff. not to the extent of tasteless but close enough. and way beyond moletrap and diggity. but that doesn't matter because what's most important is entertainment and getting MORE views.
tasteless has been commentating for years and it HASN'T WORKED. but once klazart started commentating thousands of people watched his videos the minute it got posted up. after a few months MANY people started imitating him and making english commetnaries too. after tasteless' commentary for the past few (or several?) years no one has yet to "copy" him and make english commentaries on their own until klazart did; which was and is 100x more entertaining than tasteless'.
i guarantee you guys if you get klaz you'll get TONS of more views. at least give him a try and see which videos get more views. or have a VOTE. and let US decide.
Again, utmost respect to Klaz for all he's done for the SC community but I want to reiterate that his fanboys need to die in fire.

I don't get where this general idea comes from that the audience just get's to decide that a hobbyist from Irland can just start professionaly commentating a tournament in Korea tomorrow.
I wish those youtube morons would just shut up.

Didn't Tasteless before extend an invitation to Klazart to commentate with him, and Klazart quickly refused the request and admonished Tasteless for asking over an open forum?
Why then would Klazart be even remotely interested in going to Seoul?

Yeah. I didnt understand either. He treated a very generous offer like an insult. It was disgusting, and one of the reasons I dont like him as a person.

Klazarts voice is so annoying
I like tasteless alot more but I agree he could need someone else there with him. I aired radio myself one time when my friend was sick and it was very hard indeed
If Tasteless also adds a little more complex and advanced commentary he will do fine.
He likes the attention and thrives on it and it's a good thing because he delivers

Klaz is great but i doubt he's going to come from FUCKING IRELAND all the way to SOUTH KOREA and leave EVERYTHING behind.
Has he even spoke of wanting to go to korea?

The first English casted games I have ever seen are the GSI being done by Tasteless, and I think he's doing a very good job. I have been playing the game since it came out, but I am still not very good at it. I like how he occasionally explains things that I don't understand or didn't know. I hope he keeps casting in the future.
