Terran vs Protoss:
- less Protoss cheese. They mostly play straight / macro based games with early expansions.
- alot of Protoss rediscovered the use of the shuttle
- alot of protoss players can't hold off 3 tanks and 4 vultures...
- very useful to lay mines in your mainbase (vs reaver or dt drop) because alot of players harass you with reaver.
Terran vs Zerg:
- Zerg seems to be way more aggressive!
- alot of 9 pool players and 2 hatch players
- it seems like Zergs don't drop nowadays
- 70% go fast Swarm and lose to a go with 4 tanks / 30 marines and a drop at the same time.. (swarm not done then)
Terran vs Terran:
- I didn't play many yet, but seems like they don't want to
get into lategame.
Things about players:
- Less koreans..
- By no means a mannered server / most players disc / bitch / flame...
- MOST! dodge players with good records.. (geez) I cannot join games because I get banned! I can only create..
- I check stats of the opponent if I join games (not to dodge if he is good) more like "A-/B+/B come" and you find a 0-2-0 D player in there... which is really shitty.
All in all its not really fun to play on iccup.. but I try not to bother all that shitty unmannered players..
Once I played a Protoss and won, he didn't gg when he lost.. and he wanted regame. I was okay with that but told him I don't like his attitude about only saying gg when you win.
Well.. I lost to him 2 times.. and he said gg both games.
After that I won again and he didn't say gg... so I didn't gave him a re, because I really was pissed.
Would be fun to play vs anyone here.. who is skilled and mannered..
I hope you guys enjoy a more mannered time on iccup  !

you only play terran? and what's your rank? I could really use some TvP advice from a good terran. I got b- last season but I can't/don't play that much mainly due to exams so I'm currently C now (about 50 games and almost ALL TvP -_-) but can probably reach B- again at least. Would also love to practice some TvT seriously, since no one seems to play TvT nowadays and then when I get TvT at a nw it's bad -_-
about manner ye, lol I've actually got over all this shitty attitude years ago. So when I play iccup I 100% expect this kind of stuff every once in a while. I play iccup for the competition and not for the fun part of it. Luckily, I get fun from the game itself ^_^
I'm so busy with exams these days but would love to stay in touch for some tvt/tvp mentoring/practicing later in this month and forth

Lol I tend to not say gg either if it's a long game and I'm pissed for loosing, I just don't say anything and leave :p
TvT is rare indeed but very fun when you find someone who wants to have a go at it (mostly D level newbs sadly)
About people dodging, that is so annoying...I mean wouldn't it actually be a good idea to play someone better so you could learn some new shit´?
People care way too much about stats too imo

Yeah i hate the lack of manners on ICCup too, it's god damn annoying. I played a long ass ZvT i think it was 40 minutes, a very back and forth game, i think i should of won, but the vessel cloud got huge at the end when we were both scrambling for resources so it was picking me apart. I eventually said "GG" and he never said it back, so i stayed and was yelling at him to say GG before i leave. Like seriously, it was a good game, just have some manners. You even won, being a sore winner is dick.
Still though, i say GG everytime unless i'm really annoyed. Maybe it's nerdy, but i think the "gg" gives us some level of honor in this game, since from what i know not many other games have that. The thing about PGT was everyone said GG even if it was a cheesy game or something. I think that's one of the reasons i can't mass ICCup, basically all the cons you listed.
BM pricks, dodgers. I never dodge, i wanna get better and get an accurate rank, to see how good i am. I'm not going to dodge an 8-0 player, i'm going to play him and say to myself, "After this your 8-1" Not to him ofc, becuase that would be the BM stuff i hate :/
So far my record vs undefeated players is 1-3! They were all terrans and my ZvT is weak bleh!! And on a side note, i do favor agressive pool first builds on Ladders becuase there MUCH safer in a cheese heavy enviroment like a ladder. overpool is my most common i think, since i can go from their into a variety of builds/strats. From agressive to macro orientated.
The odd thing i noticed is that i have played a good 20ish games on ICCup in 1on1, and only about 5 of them were vs protoss. 3 vs zerg and i'd say the remainder 12 were terrans.

Theres quite alot of delicate micro involved in TvZ so small mistakes especially with marines and lurkers can win zerg the game in some cases early game

the more annoying thing about icc is that people with good stats (19-1 23-0) etc join games that r labeld i e: "D no T me chobo" just to get an easy win :<(
ps: i dont get why people think its bm to not say gg (i dont say anything at all, if i wanna chat i open msn -_-)

Yeah, typing gg before you quit is obviously chatting. I hate those no-lifers who try to chat in the lobby, with their "hi" and "rdy?" and "go?". I'm like "lol I've got friendz, on da mzn"!

Yea whenever I join I immediately type gogo then my normal s-t-a-r-t-s-t-a-r-t-s-t-a-r-t lobby warmup.
And then I laugh at them and then I beat them and they don't type "gg"

Having a 24/h Disc when you are losing a game looks like you are a discer which is bad T_T!

I think GG should always be said. I one game on Blue Storm PvT I tried the proxy that Much used vs. Sea, just because I like nerdy things like that. He didn't GG, but he also didn't leave, so I had to hunt down all of his floating buildings, and it took me 10 minutes when I had won in 5.
