Woot! The second Bleach movie is due to air on December 22, 2007. Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion is exactly one week from today in Japan (meaning we English viewers may have to wait a bit...)
Anyway, here is some of the plot summary from Wikipedia:

+ Show Spoiler +When an artifact known as the "King's Seal" is stolen during transport from Soul Society, Tōshirō Hitsugaya is assigned to retrieve it. Hitsugaya goes missing after a battle with the thieves, leading Seireitei to suspect him of treachery. They order his immediate capture and execution. Unwilling to believe that he is capable of such a crime, Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Rangiku Matsumoto, and Renji Abarai set out to find Hitsugaya and clear his name.
Meanwhile, Hitsugaya is still searching for the thieves, and stumbles upon a dark secret involving a shinigami long since dead, a man named Kusaka Sōjirō. He was a good friend and rival to Hitsugaya when they were young.
I'm really excited for this upcoming movie, especially considering I thoroughly enjoyed the first, Bleach: Memories of Nobody. I know we have a decent number of anime viewers on this forum, so discussion would be great!

I never watched the first movie because the one Naruto movie I attempted to watch seemed shitty. Should I watch the first Bleach movie? I'm definantly going to watch this one because Hitsyuga is pretty cool and I'm running out of anime to watch.

Well, in my opinion the first movie was great. And yes, I think Hitsugayah is one of the coolest characters in Bleach as well. Just check out a summary of the first Bleach movie and decide if you'd like it. I'd personally recommend it, but I don't know what you'd like, mini.

I heard that this was gonna go into Hitsugaya's past (with Hinamori and when he becomes captain and such).
I don't really love Bleach all that much, but the first movie was really good

Meh... I watch most of the movies associated with the anime I watch (Bleach, Naruto, etc) but I rarely enjoy them as much as the canon. It's not really their fault, but it's never as good.

Wasn't the first movie just basically an extension of like 30+ min of an episode already aired? Wasn't very good if you ask me...

hitsugaya is cool but he kinda sucks for a captain, he's lost basically every fight ahhhh
maybe they'll finally show him owning in this movie

i was pretty into the bleach anime until the deluge of naruto-like fillers and i just lost interest.

Hitsugaya is so annoying. Talk about fan service since he was in charge of the Shinigami team in the Bounto Arc and now the Arrancar. He's so weak that he has to use Bankai every time he fights like Ichigo. Now we have a movie that is focused around him?GG.

It won't since it's gonna be around mainly Hitsugaya and Ichigo. Also in the 1st movie, Memories of Nobody most of the other characters made an appearance near the end.

I dunno, a movie that has no connection to the plot and is basically all filler just doesn't appeal to me. I haven't really watched the anime since the fillers started anyways though. The thing about these movies is, the plot is so bad, and you know what's going to happen. Nothing new is ever shown from these movies.
