Depends on the girl and how much of a dick you are, as well as if you ever want to see them again. There's just too many variables to give a rule for everything. I guess if you're that worried you can discuss it beforehand or something.

well one of us would literally start laughing every 2 min or something lol. It was just too planned out, and rushed since we hadn't really done much before.

OvertheUnder: No!!!! Please do not use alcohol for sex purposes. The only reason to drink is to enjoy drinking, and even then, I humbly recommend extreme moderation. If alcohol needs to be involved for you to have sex, you shouldn't have sex. Sex + alcohol = No!!!

As to the rest of what you said: definitely sounds like nervousness and being uncomfortable with each other. Sex is so personal. Our society tells us that casual sex is common and fine (it is pretty common, and it is POTENTIALLY fine) but sex is still serious business. It is WAY personal. So it's understandable that people can be nervous about it, and have awkward sex. The best sex is in a deep relationship, or at least a situation where both people can totally relax and get CRAZY with it.

Anyway, laughter during sex is fine, even desirable. But I know what you mean. And yeah, the half-assed boner - definitely a symptom of nervousness.

Why not spend more time with this girl and get more comfy with each other? Also, making out more and doing more fore-play stuff will help you both, I bet!
