Darius the great from the Achaemenid age left behind 2 golden plates and 3 silver plates , but it is only existent on internet one of his golden plates.
The language written is Assyrian.
A proposal to who have free time and are curious to understand what kind of knowledge a king of one the biggest empires of past left behind written in golden plates and protected in a tomb would be :
Try to divide the 4 kinds of possibilities to this language of arrows in 4 subjects so your mind could start working upon a image , could be like this :

Left arrow < Regress
Down arrow : Consume
Right downed arrow : End .

We could have and idea that before the Latin vocabulary as it exists still on older cultures languages as Chinese the communication with symbols , as the old Egypt it is also.
We could think that the Assyrian culture used to communicate with symbols also but due to their limited amount of basic combination this communication could be intended to be made though life patterns.

I don't understand why you're making the conclusion of these possibilities? It could be a plethora of other things.

Was more of a sharing histories of old empires ,kings mentality and legacy than a call to solve a problem.
In the past where the reading culture were starting to be stabilished ancient peoples judged to have a so much important knowledge to be maintained to the next generation that they build tombs with golden plates to be accessed further, comes the question of what i could have of knowledge to be stored and write.
Also can have the conclusion of the other empires like egypt who lived to make their knowledge possible to be read from a millenia ahead and they put all their lifes effort to do so.
Now a days with a culture that relies on easy writing and sharing content we very few times want to devote a lot of effort to maintain this knowledge for more than thousand years ahead, to do so should have something too much import to be remembered.
