So, I like to think I have a good taste in music, especially hardcore and metal since I have listened to so many bands in these genres during the years.

I also used to have a website called "Hardcore Reality" where I would interview american hardcore-bands and they sent me cd:s, stickers etc.

My thought was to post the videos of the absolute best songs I know in a purpose of sharing awesome music.

It will mainly be metal and hardcore and since I have a pretty good knowledge of these scenes worldwide, expect both some famous and some unexpected bands, but nevertheless songs that will make you wanna smash shit up or alternatively cry.

So on to the first vid: SubZero - Lion hearted

SubZero is a hardcore band with metal influences hailing from the infamous New York Hardcore-scene and this song should get your blood boiling.
The song is about the singer getting first shot, then getting cancer right after, and how he cheated death.

Some would argue one and the other are not compatible jeje just j/king.

As for your first entry:SubZero - Lion hearted - man you really have to make a leap into the abstract to call that music.. still, you seem to know how to appreciate this stuff, which is more than I will ever grasp, kudos to you, your mind is more open.

Anyway here are the lyrics if anyone is interested, I had to read them because I didn't understand a single word in the vocals (except for the word pride lol.. again j/king).

Thanks for posting the lyrics.

This is the music I grew up with and helped me endure all the shit in my life, but I gotta say, you surprise me.
If anyone is open minded here, it's you sir. And I mean that in a good way

Oh and also, good point in saying hardcore and metal might not be compatible, since they weren't originally.
Basically Hardcore-punk was oppressed ppl reacting against society and the stale stupid metal scene, wanting to bring in some honest, straight-forward music dealing with real life shit.

ya the lyrics are good, took me a while to find them.. I was lucky, or unlucky depending on your point of view, to be living in the UK, as a teenager when the punk movement was born.. I did make a lot of money selling military boots with steel toe caps : )
