Starcraft and Parents

I am 12, and I have been playing SC since I was.. 8? The thing about it is I almost never get to play. Why? well, if you round the days out, my CD is confenscated 6.5 days a week. I don't mind beatings. Nor do I mind no friends over (I dont have any anyways >.>) but, I love starcraft. I think about dragoons, zealots, and probes all night. Often, not even about strategys, but how AWESOME probes are. So modest ^^. But, I almost never can play. I hate my parents, we live in the fucking pine barrens where there's nothing but dirty sand and pine trees, and almost EVERYONE my age is way too ignorant. Starcraft is different. I have friends there, I talk hours at a time sometimes, and I never even met them. I think I love starcraft more then anyone here. I am not better, I am not more involved, but I LOVE starcraft a LOT. You can only imgaine what it is like to play maybe twice a month. Its horrible. then, ironicaly, my parents say I have an addiction because I play too much. lol -_-. And they "confinscate" it for no reason. My daily chore is to clean the kitchen (Pots, pans, dishes, empyting dish washer, cleaning floor, everyday) and they took it away until I did my chores, and its not like I dont do them. Well, they lost it. I got it back after a week+. I was LITERALLY 30 seconds away from completing my chore, and my step dad said do it before he comes home. 20 sewconds. Gone for a week. And, My stepdad is a alchoholic grumpy person, who, even if one night dosent drink, has a blood sugar problem that renders him intocicated after say 7:30 PM. My mom, well, shes a bitch, not much more to say. My sister is sadistic, framing me often. You can see why I dont do a lot, cant you :/. Well, introducing myself. Superiorwolf mentioned starcraft hurts him, well, it is basically the only thing that stops me from killing myself. sad, eyh?

Let me ask you this, how often are you alowed on the computer? Do they let you on the computer all you want, but they take your starcraft CD? Do they watch you on the computer to make sure you don't play, or do they just assume without a CD that you aren't playing the game? You have a really sad story and a pretty messed up life ( no offence ). If they dont' watch you, or you can stay up late without them knowing, there are no cd cracks and programs that run starcraft broodwar without you needing the cd, as long as starcraft is installed on your computer, so you can play all day and all night, as long as you do your chores and don't get the computer taken away or something.

Sometimes they take away key board/mouse, sometimes just CD, but i cant run programs that let me run without cd because i have a mac, or rather, my mom does. And, I do my chores, I try to be good, thye are just so... God..

Oh, I better introduce myself, I am on the east server, IAMAHIPO_ocolor. I like The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Queen, ect, Movies: The Breakfast Club, Forest Gump,... Anyways, i would recommend a) getting friend and b) start lifting weights so you can beat your alcoholic father when he acts up.

1. My school is full of dick head teachers, who give me bad grades because I'm sick a lot, even though I make up the work (they STILL don't know why i'm sick, mostly fatigue/ vomiting.) Will move out ASAP. SC2 Will suck like how the habitants of sector twenty give birth.

When it comes to public examinations they won't be marked by those teachers, So like SATs and stuff you can pass if you know your shit.

Yah. I want to go to Cornell University, study mycology (fungi), but its Ivy leuage, my parents make barley enough to stay in a small suburban house, and the accptance rate is 25%

So let me get this straight. You're 12, you have a drunk father, and bitch mother, you say your sister is a sadistic, how old is she btw? They take away the only think you love, you seem like an angry person, you love probes, and you're sick all the time. Not to offend you or anything, but I'm going to have to say that you'll probably need a psychiatrist by the time you're 20. Why don't you just tell your parents everything you've told us and see how they react?

Ok, for the moment, screw SC. Do everything you can to get good grades, and I mean everything. Wait until your older. Move out asap. Play SC2 if you want. Go to university. Make a better life for your kids then your parents did to you.

But I'm hoping when you say your parents are bad that they are really like, bad lolz...not just doing these things because you actually deserve it. (no offense, I'm just saying it, cause a lot of 12 year olds complain about parents....-> it's the 'pre-teen' period -_-)

yes, you should DEFINITELY stop playing bw and concentrate on your life.

i was able to get through playing sc when i was 6-11 because my parents werent gay and i never got bad grades, i was able to balance sc and life.

Hey kaz. wtf, you could be a little more sensitive about this.

Just because IAMAHIPO has a drunk stepdad and annoying mum, doesn't mean that he needs or will need psychiatric help. And judging from what he has told us, telling his parents most likely won't bring anything good.

IAMAHIPO, tell someone you trust, an older person. Maybe a teacher at school/church.
It's also hard for us to see your situation clearly since many younger people tend to hate their parents, but it's not ok to have parents who drink and take it out on you.

Also, remember than you will be older and finally you will be able to take care of yourself and do what you want.

Besides, you sound like a very intelligent kid for your age and have "mature" interests, such as watching documentaries on science etc. I think you will grow up to be a very smart guy and you will end up study and do something you love.
