I think im losing all sense of enjoyment in this game now. Not b/c i lose, but b/c im not finding the joy of zerg anymore, and i know that to be truly good with one race, you have to stick with it. I want to be good, I want to be the best, but not by being what everyone wants me to be. My friend for example harrasses the crap out of me whenever I want to switch races(I do have a problem with that) And again I find the game enjoyable when I play other races but he doesnt like it, and keeps telling me that my other races suck and that my zerg is good and I should just play Zerg. Truthfully I believe race switching is good, it helps you understand what position the other race is in when you do certain things, and it helps you to take advantage. But most people dont see that in race switching and most people just dont learn that way. I know this didnt make sense but I just had to write down something. Also, the only reason why im in the Hamachi Starleague is to try and find my love of the game again, its helping a bit, knowing im undefeated so far, makes me feel a little better, but I know ill lose eventually, and hopefully when it does happen, Ill understand that its part of the game, and that just b/c i lose a few games doesnt mean I should just stop.

Eh, so the main point is:
How can i increase my interest of the game again? Is raceswitching Ok, or should I just stick with one race?

Im not trying to be a baby or a whiner of any kind, so plz keep it flame free, and thx for reading TL.net

I think raceswitching is perfectly ok. I myself switched four times (toss -> terran -> toss -> terran -> toss). I think I was in the same position as you and it helped a lot. But you have to understand that it will take some time to reach the same skill level that you had with zerg (I think about 2-4 weeks if you are very active). Or you will never reach the level you reached with zerg. But then you still can go back and you had a fun time with another race which gave you a break and helped you enjoy the game again. I mean the point is its a game. And in our case we play the game to have fun. So if playing another race is more fun for you atm then do it. Or why do you think they developed three races ?

Raceswitch with the purpose of making your Zerg better, like Savior did. He played Terran for awhile to see how they worked, and his Z obviously was much better off for it. That way you get a break from playing Z, but you're also working on your Z at the same time.

race swapping is what still makes the game fun sometimes. i was concentrating on apm and winning with zerg that i got bored of it. it wasn't until after i switched to ran and tried out toss that i found the game more fun. Also, once you learn the fundamentals and what other races do, you can improve naturally and don't worry about apm because it goes up by itself once you get used to it actually i like terran more than zerg now and i used to hate terran, its funny how trying out all the races can make you change your thoughts completely

just try it out, i think you will become better if you do.

Remember, Savior never practices ZvT or ZvP. He practices PvZ and TvZ >.<
This could help out your overall game and it will be like learning sc all over again (well, not really).
