APM Training pt. 5

I start the game by building a drone and splitting my workers. Then I hotkey my overlord to 2, my hatchery to 4, and my building drone to 1. Then I set my hatchery's rally point to an unused mineral patch and spam 24241 while lassoing my drones. After each drone is set to mine, I change the rally point to a new mineral patch and set the next drone egg to the 1.

Once I have 9 drones mining, I build an overlord and set it to 3, then I set my hatchery's rally point to the next base I'll want to scout and spam 23434 while lassoing my drones.

After the overlord hatches, I make drones and set my rally point near my minerals. From here things differ a lot depending on which build order I decide on. I haven't done 9 pool a whole lot, but I do 12 hatch and 12 pool with pretty much equal regularity.

By the end of the game, I have 123 for units and 45678 and sometimes 90&F3 for hatcheries, depending on the length of the game and how many extra minerals I'm producing (F2 is set on my rally point). Most of the game-- in between attacks, while I'm containing, while I wait for the comp to send its zealots at my natural-- I'm spamming 4567 over and over again, but I also spam 123 over and over in between micro actions when I'm attacking or defending.

And that's pretty much the story of my empty spam. I'm just winging it, though. If there's a proper way to spam I don't know what it is. But seriously, use progamers as your rolemodels, not me.
