Keep the entertaining stories coming. Btw, could you maybe ballpark an estimate of how much you spent in total in Thailand including flight food ect. | ||

Bangkok is much more expensive than let's say Ko Samui. It really matters from where you fly to Bangkok, although Bangkok in general is the cheapest destination to fly to as it functions as the major passenger distribution hub in South East Asia. I know the most of Bangkok so let me break it down: I paid 740e for my ticket including taxes A hotel like Hilton costs 60-70e a night Let's say you eat breakfast at your hotel and for lunch and dinner you go to a place that aim at foreigners, 5e for lunch and 15e for dinner with alcohol and fancy food. Snacks are available anywhere and will cost you nearly nothing. Maybe half a dollar tops. Traveling within Bangkok again is really cheap, 1 hour cab rides can get you through the entire town and will cost you 2-3e. There's also the skytrain which is sometimes A LOT faster, they are 40 cent per zone, 90% of the time you will travel within the same zone. Now if you go clubbing, again it depends where. But the most expensive club I've been to charged me 2e for a beer and 5e for a whiskey. The beer was a bottle and the whiskey glass was filled up. Then you have a phone which costs you 4 cent per minute to call and 4 cent per sms. A 2 hour massage costs 7e. I don't know how much I spend entirely as my stay there was for free, my ticket was for free, my brothers girlfriend paid for dinner and phone and other things. so if you are going to stay for 2 weeks, you probably require around 2000e including flight. Then you have literally everything. You can save money when you are there of course, it's up to you. If you go to Ko Samui or Phuket you can take off 25-40% of all the prices I mentioned above. | ||
