EPTSo book 1 that I started with was Starsight by Brandon Sanderson. I started this book on 12/19/19 and finished on 12/22/19.
The book is a sequel to Skyward. It is a young adult science fiction novel. This coming from a fantasy writer. I read skyward about 1 year ago and I enjoyed it. The setting was very refreshing.
That brings us to Starsight. This book was not even close to as good as Skyward. Where skyward based alot of its story around team building. The main protagonist getting out of the shadow of her father who was a amazing pilot who betrayed humankind.
This second book threw all of that out of the window. She goes on a solo mission. They replace her human wingmates for some alien ones that dont get as fleshed out as the humans were in the first book. Second in the first book the aliens they were fighting were a bit of a mystery about their motivations. The second book while it had some mystery it kinda was just like politics for one group and mindless hunger for the other.
All and all while Starsight had some very interesting parts, it was slower and not a interesting as skyward. Skyward I couldn't put the book down. I kept telling myself I will only read one more chapter and then sleep. 5 chapters later I told my self the same thing 1 more chapter and that is it. Starsight was just read one more chapter so we can finish this soon.

Book 2/55 will be another Brandon Sanderson book Mistborn. While I have already read this book it has been around 10 years ago. I started the book last night and hope to finish it in the next 2-3 days and will give you a review also.
