One specific thing this painting shows is how Ingres is known to make the painting look the way he wants rather than focusing in on specific details of the anatomy being perfect. An experienced art critic would probably look at this painting and point out some of the flaws of how a certain part of the body isn't supported correctly, or how there is the wrong number of vertebrae, or something like that. + Show Spoiler + Thank you sister <3 | ||

his painting does have a lot of mistakes in it regarding perspective. the woman's body and limbs are elongated and out of proportion. also, the background is unrealistically pitch black. i, however, do not know what to make of this. | ||

The way you should be critiquing the paintings obviously is going to depend on the type of art course you are taking. What exact "art-humanities" class are you going to take? | ||
