Combined with the drawings (some of the facial expressions and stuff) it was really funny.

Also I checked, and yes, Coffee Bean Man really does have 2 left feet (part 4).
HX-9382B is actually a Sonicare electric toothbrush, not a grappling hook gun, hmm, possibly a Sonic/Sanic easter egg reference, Im gunna go with it.
tintin: lightning hitting the cabin (act of god) = deus ex machina. Generally considered bad, Ill assume its another of your subversion jokes and I just fell into the trap.

Yeah, HX9382 is a Sonic toothbrush. There's a lot of other dumb easter eggs and minor references, and I'm amazed that's the one you picked out. The grappling hook gun is real, though. I didn't know they were real things. Here's the one I thought looked pretty cool:

Imagine it'd shoot out something like a bolt that would penetrate the concrete, then anchor itself by shooting out spikes, something like this:

I was trying to think of ways to shave off having to draw some unnecessary panels, so I figured that the grappling hook shot, showing the spikes pop out, then wrapping the line around a hook on the other side didn't need to be drawn. They just shoot a thing and get across. The whole thing is kind of a cliche, and relatively uninteresting, and the only funny thing that I could think of from the whole sequence was Carl hanging onto the zip-line and freaking out.

I love how he's being treated by Dr. Mario lmao.

I can't say there's anything similar to this that I've read or seen anywhere else. It's goofy and sporadic and violent and highly entertaining. I can't imagine the amount of time it took to write and draw all these comics!

Great work as always. That Mario story about feminism is still one of the funniest things I remember reading in recent memory.

I almost forgot to talk about this. Some people know that I am a nerd for all things martial arts. Except swords. Fuck swords. The naming conventions for martial arts films always have been kinda silly, but I was thinking of this film in particular:

Fist of Legend would definitely go in my top 10 martial arts films. The thing about the film is that the title implies that Jet Li's character, Chen Zhen, has a legendary fist, when in fact, he uses both fists, and does kicks. In this webcomic, I wanted to have one of the main characters basically emulate Chun Li from the Street Fighter series, and Chun Li is known for her huge legs and her kicking. So, I originally was going to call this "Foot of Legend", but "Legend of the Foot" just seemed funnier, because why would a foot be legendary?
