landscaping and more general painting is entirely different and was something I specialized in for a long time but follows more in line with what I was just speaking about.

no offense meant, but it can actually a struggle to keep it off camera because it dissolves some of that illusion that the artwork is coming from nothing.

but I think you're wonderful, glider, and glad you bring this hobby to the internet and for people to watch.

as someone who ended up self taught, I believe all art theory is based on understanding how each stroke of your tool can compliment one another, eventually culminating into a series of very accurate and beautiful lines, forming the overall picture you see. often the process can look ugly or you don't see how it comes together, but it is really like a build order you create for yourself in a game like starcraft. you know how it will go, and it is going through the motions in a way you know will work.

I'm very happy if more people give creating a chance, because everyone is capable of being great at it.
