if you dont know what this is about go to my previous blog: http://www.liquiddota.com/blogs/512438-surgery-today
just came back from the dryslope nationals i narrowly missed podium for last year and wasnt able to snowboard, was a massive bummer as my goal up until my injury was to come back and win this year (i had been building an arsenal of new tricks all year just for this event). at least my bath boys charged all weekend and we got two skiers into the big air top 8! (only uni to do this for 2 years now lol)
as for my knee im doing way more solid, surgery scars have healed pretty well and it doesnt really hurt too much to touch anymore, still swells a bit though but afaik thats normal. initially i had that shitty 6 weeks of no walking which sucked but now i have basically no pain walking around and im able to go on exercise bikes finally to rebuild all the quad muscle ive lost. (plus i can go on nights out again, missing freshers week and the first month or so of uni sucked...) now ive got 3 more months to build up enough strength and stability to be able to snowboard before our trip, the fact ive only got that long left is making me pretty damn nervous as not being able to board then would probably kill me.
uni: i was a dumbass and picked the hardest course during my final year, this means my first semester modules are parallel computing, networking and advanced compilerskill me. my final year project/dissertation is im building a serious game for learning lambda calculus (which is also probably me biting off more than i can chew).
as a parting gift heres a photo of me with the skis i bought to encourage myself to keep focusing on physio (im planning on learning to ski again after 10 years of boarding): + Show Spoiler +
