I think there's much more to being alive than only happiness, if that were the only satisfying emotion then I don't think there would be sad or scary or suspenseful movies. Why isn't it subjective by nature to conclude life is meaningless when it's subjective by nature to contemplate it's meaning? You seem to keep flipping between assertions of how life is meaningless to then the ways in which you're damaging yourself >_< I don't get the impression that you really feel this way, just that you don't know how to rationalize how you feel... It seems pretty clear that on a deeper level you care much more about being alive than dying... | ||

All the searching gives you no answers other than to ignore that fundamental question and take the ride life has to offer. It sounds like motivational bullcrap but logically nothing good comes from these questions and all they achieve is a loss of your sense of self and happiness. I've been having CBT and recently started taking some SSRI medication, I have long been apposed to medicating but it has given me a slight bit of breathing room to allow me to get back on my feet. | ||

You have to develop a balance where you are feeling with your heart and thinking with your brain; As someone stated above, sadness is part of reality as much as hapiness; our educating system is somewhat oriented toward claiming that one must always be happy. This is not the case; live life, experience, grow, and be happy when ita a happy moment and sad when its a sad moment; Many man have issues of crying; that is an important aspect of your body that Allows you to process sadness, deal with it, and move on to the next thing; Futhurmore, you can access your sub-concious and find out your life meaning: hypnotherapy is one tool to do so. Art is another. Some do it throught dreaming; some throught life experience. Some throught books, some throught other people; it all depends on what you are like as a person; the ultimate goal is to be living and doing, or learning, or experimenting what is your life goal. When you find it, and start living it, it will all make sense to you | ||
