my first two nights in sweden thanks to heartland

I have no work in August so I decided to buy my last cheap Interrail ticket (25 years old) and I will be on my way to Denmark/Sweden/Finland starting August 5th.
My first stop will be Copenhagen (I have already been to most of Germany) but unless proven otherwise, it will be a short one (~ 1 day? ). From there I will go to Stockholm via Goteborg, and then I will have to decide if I really want to spend 15 hours on a ferry to get to Tallinn & Helsinki or if I will travel north in Sweden.
I have got a lot to read for next semester at University and so I decided to buy a
10 out of 22 Interrail ticket (which gives me 12 days where I cannot travel by train).
I have already been to Sweden and I plan to hike a few days equipped with my tent,
fish, some carrots, a million pdf's on my e-book reader and a map.
If you have read this far you are now rewarded with the reason why I have made this blog:
It is cheaper for me to exchange a bottle of Tullamore Dew/Ballantines for a place to sleep than it is to sleep in a Swedish youth hostel. And I think its more fun to meet up with people I "know" (you know what I mean).
What would this look like ?
A) You let me sleep in your apartment (one bottle of Whiskey - or optional goodies  )
B) I can shower there too ( I will teach you my one base Valkyrie guaranteed-to-lose builds vs Protoss)
C-1 )After the shower we spend the evening/night nerding. No problemo.
C-2 ) After said shower, you tell me what I can do in the City (at this point you already have a big place in my heart and I will tell you what to do once you visit Vienna)
C-2-1) Now I don't want to sound like I have a alcohol problem ( I am just Austrian man, chill) but if c) were mostly bars and we visit them together, I will tell you all about why Germans are the best and the worst and why Hungarians are batshit insane and as I get drunk I will mourn my Hungarian comrades who are no longer part of the Motherland)
D) You have nothing to do and we end up doing fantastically stupid things for two days with our dignity semi-in-tact, we will have to think of something. We will see.

Now if you are still reading, this is how it can work. As long as your town has a railway station and is not just south of the north pole, I should be able to visit.
Respond in the Blog and we can start communication from there.

Towns I am absolutely going to visit/drive through:
Hamburg (most likely drive through unless some Hamburgians respond to this!)
Copenhagen
Malmö (either Copenhagen or Malmö, or both, or a Houseboat on a lake, who knows))
Goteborg
Stockholm
If nobody responds, don't feel bad - I can always manage. I am a lvl 25 multiclass travel wizard

Hey man! I am not sure I can put you up for the night since I am busy on 8th in general but I live close to Malmö and it would be neat to hang out if I can figure it out in my schedule!

I grew up close to Malmo, and if you want to go clubbing, I'd do Copenhagen over Malmo no discussion. Open later, more places, bigger places. Also beers are better in Denmark than Sweden imo, although they are pretty similar (and both watery tbh). Possibly Copenhagen over Stockholm as well, but I don't know Stockholm well enough to tell.

Hey!
I might not be able to offer a place to stay, but I'm doing interrail starting on the 15th from Germany going to Sweden/Norway (and afterwards probably some france/spain/portugal or something) with the 10/22 ticket as well. Would be open to hang out and/or hike for sure!

So what you are saying is that you might be able to hang out with me in Malmö but I would be a fool to do so and should choose Copenhagen instead ! Alright, so I will arrive in Copenhagen at about 20:30 on the 5th of August ( I have to wake up at 4:30 in the morning but as I know myself I should be able to sleep from München to Hamburg to Copenhagen) and will most likely spend the 6th there, but if you want to meet up my next destination could just be Malmö at the evening of the 6th.
If not, I will drive through again on my way back from Finland/Northern Sweden and if you remember the thread I can keep you guys posted as to where I am at whenever I find free wifi

When you start at the 15th I should already be far ahead of you but we can absolutely try to meet up ! If you want to do this outside of the TL forum reply here or PM me and we can exchange information !

I am already somewhat regretting the decision to oversell myself but exaggeration has always been my favorite stylistic device. When I am not at home I mostly tend to adapt to the people around me, when I am in unknown territory I favor smoothness of existence over bashing my personality onto others. Well, too late now

Tufas: I think I can work around stuff but the day of the 8th is quite bad as is Friday evening. However, I'd be happy to meet up with you and do something in general! What sort of things are you into? If you like you can PM me.

I have always wanted to travel to Buenos Aires, the old counterpart to New York (although I hear its full of lawyers and dentists these days  ) .. but it just isn't the same as Sweden .. imagine a country where you are allowed to camp on private property as long as you are not in sight of a building ... <3 and its normal

thanks for meeting me and the suggestion heartland, I made 2 heavy reading days out of it and slept two times on the coast untill I arrived in helsingborg. very awesome ! travelled to goteborg today and took the "cheapest" youth hostels, thats like 2 1/2 ballantines ....
will contact you again when I drive home ! in case you do not read this I will pm you 2-3 days befor I arrive !
