Started this one yesterday and still loads of werk 2 do as the armor ain't that simple and i'll also have to draw background on the whole A3 sized paper. HIs face takes up almost all the height of the paper, so this crop shows around half of the whole paper to be drawn on lol.
Hope you like it so far, but nothing's final tho as ill have to tune all the little details over time. If you have suggestions or criticism let me know, any constructive kind of feedback greatly appreciated  thx for the support so far!

@JieXian boo am trying rly rly hard but i'm busy drawing blueprints for uni. as i said ill try to finish his "face" today. and don't worry ill be postin updates as soon as there's progress am afr8 to ask, but is artanis (xp) a pro? not much into esports :I

Update: finished face more or less, would love to work more on it rn but i don't have that much freetime :I feel free to post suggestions c: the definition of all the stuff on the paper should give you a better idea of how the whole thing is going to look like (composition etc.)

Pretty amazing. If I may give you some advice, I'm not an artist so maybe it's not possible, but you should spell out "to" instead of "2"

thx again! as much as ppl ask me to make videos, i have 2 say that i rly dont wanna do it bcoz it would end up being a mess since i work with many breaks and not in one whole sessions etc. i think the photo updates give a good picture of the progress and if there are questions about techniques i am open for explanation c: thx for showing interest anyway!

Realized Artanis etc from the Oblivion cinematic is not render but ingame footage? quite surprised as i thought the invasion of aiur would be the intro cinematic. You can tell by zooming in and seeing a few edges etc that it's not render quality, hope i'm right :D

shouldn't be a problem, it's a time lapse video and you can take as many breaks as you want

Well Glider is like a bit better at his stuff than i am lol. Sure i could do in between pics for a timelapse video, starting with the current version. (the older ones are crops, i'd need to make each pic show the whole paper ) I did similar things with a few portraits where i either gif-ed em or made a "collage". Will think about it thx! don't even have a yt channel and doubt ppl will care. we'll c

Glider is better because he's been doing this for some time. Your work (based on this one) is not like the ones on his videos. It's more detailed, more complex and has a different theme.
Yea why not try in between pics for starters. But timelapse is the way to go
I'm telling you people will care because you are good. Just look at the comments asking you to do it. Try drawing something shitty and no one will comment like this. TL isn't like facebook.
The art skill is already there, what will determine whether you get millions of views is up to other stuff like production quality, marketing etc. Eg glider keeps up to date with his portraits. He draws from current news, like drawing Steve Jobs after he died and actors from newly released movies and stuff like that.

Yeah i think if i practice more i'll get better, am not the oldest one around here. Glider has a pretty smoothed out sketchy portrait style, not one of the easiest techniques i think but he's good at it. as you said i've got a diff style and i'll see how i can transfer it into a vid.
Considering doing it for the next one (or maybe i do the completion of artanis and kerrigan via video).
And i sure appreciate the feedback on here, TL is a bit more matura in that matter i think :D

I completely understand, it was just an example of smart marketing by Glider, listed among the non-artistic skills required to be popular on YouTube.
You've already got the most important thing down, which is the artistic skills, so if popularity is what you want (and the $$$ that comes with it) all you need is some extra effort.

update:
not as happy with the background but i'll leave it as it is for now. the ship is blurred cauz of the distance. looks fake but will try to make it better once i'm done with the armor.
