Pyramids at Teotihuacan, Mexico

While the Great Pyramids of Giza were constructed at 45° angles, the Pyramids of Teotihuacan are roughly cubical and the general intention is conveyed in an open-air compound. While Egyptian architects were put off by difficulties constructing scaffolding, general sentiment is that at that time the principle of individuation was not well-understood.

Temple of Quetzalcoatl (The Feathered Serpent)

Passages have been discovered beneath the Pyramids of Sun and Moon, 1971 and 2005 respectively. No passages have been unearthed in or around the damaged Feathered Serpent Pyramid. This may have been contradicted in 2011 when radar discovered a series of tunnels leading to funeral chambers, possibly connected to the sacrifice of one hundred humans located in the foundation. It is alleged the Temple of Quetzalcoatl became politically unpopular in the Fourth century (common era), and that consequently the Adosada Platform was erected, concealing the front of the Temple, although the absolute nature of changes occurring in the deity's status is a question for future scholars.

Avenue of the Dead

There is not much to say about the Avenue of the Dead other than it is perhaps a misnomer. The Talud-Tablero platforms were not tombs but ceremonial guide stones, mirroring the 15.5° aperture of the urban grid to true North. Various accounts have been given of the spacing of the Talud-Tablero platforms. The most convincing is that they represented a very complex heliograph in which the relative position of the three dominant pyramids shifted over time. In all likelihood the use of tightly bound rubrics prevents archaeologists from untangling the shifting patterns that made sense only in the cosmos of the days of construction.

Pyramid of the Sun
[image loading]

The Pyramid of the Sun is the third largest Pyramid in the world, sixty-three meters tall and 215 square meters at its base. Its cultural significance is obvious, but the role played by its cavern system is less so. Why is "the womb" or "place of emergence" located adjacent to the Pyramid of the Sun? There is no compelling reason to defy traditional astrological symbolism. This deviation, whatever it may mean, is undoubtedly of some significance. Given the peculiar nature of the temporal streamlining present with in Mesoamerican Pyramidal architecture, the linearity of passage discovery (1971, 2005, and 2011) is a testament to the success in governing space-time mechanics uniquely manifest at Teotihuacan.

Pyramid of the Moon
[image loading]

The Pyramid of the Moon is not perfectly square at its base, differing by some 20 meters in the two planar dimensions. The peak looks down 151 feet to the Avenue of the Dead, and each of the top three of its six levels is cemented with sacrificial architects, ranging in stature to kings and monarchs. Various considerations have been made with regard to the preservation of the Pyramid of the Moon, and revisions have been less frequent than to the Pyramid of the Sun, or the Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent of the Citadel (now obscured by a repository). Although not the last to be excavated, it is supposed that the technology originating with the Pyramid of the Moon was in fact the last to come to fruition. There are hopes that future days will find modern architects better able to uncover the prevailing mysteries of Teotihuacan, and that the intention of its designers will be laid plain.

Astrological Zen of Sun and Moon
[image loading]

Ultimately the Pyramids of Teotihuacan are endangered by the same potent forces that have for some time threatened the Great Pyramids at Giza. The art and technology involved in the construction of the Pyramids, these monuments of mathematics, engineering, and conceptual geometry are not to be found elsewhere in the world. This is because of harems and opium dens and the malign influence of drugs like cocaine which endanger the traditional technomancers whose use of Psilocybin and Ayahuasca provided practical insights into the nature of reality. Ultimately the "strings" and supersymmetric facts isolated by pyramidal construction will probably win out, but it is something to be regretted that the regal essence of these behemoth monoliths is threatened by selfish people whose "one off" mindsets prevent the ordinary, mystical rationality of infinite-horizon models.

Shoutout to Egyptian Pyramids

You really lost me at technomancers and Psilocybin.

I do love Teotihuacan though. 5/5.

I can't say I agree with what's at the end fully (I don't think heroin or opium are eminently evil anymore than I think ayahuasca and psychedelics are eminently good), but still a very cool blog.

5/5

Sometimes I like to go outside with a boner, spin around in circles until I fall down and then interpret astrological significance based on what stars my dick aligns with.

Wow those are pretty impressive. It makes the photo I snapped of a temple at Tulum, Mexico seem much less imposing.

Cool, I've been to Tulum years ago, I think I was snorkeling though. What were you doing there?

Just sightseeing within the walled city. I took a bus down from Playa Del Carmen for the day.
