If you haven't read part on I recommend you read it first it's long but yeah.
So from where I left off we had went back to Thailand planning to stay for 2 months then fly back to the states. But my wife's mother ended up having a heart attack and our funds for our return went to her hospital bills. Our planned 2 month visit turned into a 2 year stay.
During this time the Thai Prime Minister tried to unexile her father who was exiled from the country on corruption charges. This didn't go so well it started riots and 2 feuding groups 1 who supported her and 1 who didn't. They set up barricades around Bangkok. They fought everyday against each other and the police.
Then the military came into the city one night, overthrew the current government and set up martial law. At this point we had only saved up about half the funds we needed to return and I was afraid the country was going to have a civil war but my wife told me it was like the 5th time or something that this has happened in the last 50 years or something.
Anyway we ended up with armed military personal on the intersection next to our home, it was just surreal to me. Just something you wouldn't expect to see comeing from the USA. A few months after this everything basicly calmed down just with the Military in control of the government.
Finally we had enough money to get back to the states. A 26 hour flight with layovers in Tokyo and Dallas we finally landed in Cincinnati. Jacob did much better this trip. We had no problem except his twin brother wanted to run up and down the plane.
The day after we landed we took Jacob to the children's hospital and he was admitted for tests. They knew he would be small but he was a bit smaller than they wanted him to be so he stayed 2 weeks just for check ups and to put some weight on him. But then we started doing everything outpatient.
As of this post he has had one surgery on his esophagus and multiple checks. He will have plastic surgery on his mouth in the next few weeks, and his hands and feet next month.
They think he has about a 70% chance to walk with crutches, 80% chance to have normal speech, and a 95% chance he will be able to eat on his own not needing his treach. His brain function is normal so everything is looking up for him and I am so thankful.
On my health front everything is the same. Pain everyday and when I came back my doctor doesn't accept my health insurance anymore. So changing doctors has been a pain the ones willing to give me pain medicine are giving me 1/10 of the dose I was on so I'm trying to find someone else while getting my methadone from the doctor in Thailand and then mailed to me but this is by far a non optimal solution.
Also in February I got pnumonia and went into the hospital for 2 weeks that was fun... Then the last few days I had to spend 2 nights in the hospital for my pancreas.
Anyway shoutouts to my family for their support and help. My children for making me laugh everyday. My wife for sticking with me even though I'm fat, sick, and financially way under average, I really married up lol. Also shout out to this site, especially all the mafia players, just being able to keep my mind off of things for a few hours is nice.
Will update with pics in a sec...
