Hi Guys,

I manage to score The International 2015 tickets. My question is if I miss out on the first 2 days, would I be missing out on any free goodies? Can someone who went to The International 2014 shed some light on the matter?

I am flying from California and booking a hotel 30mins away (driving) from the venue. All the hotels nearby are either booked or very expensive. First time in Washington so any tips on what to do at night would be helpful also.

Hi Guys,

I won't be at The International until Thursday. I have an extra ticket at will call because Valve did not send me a ticket. Ticketmaster ensure me that I can pick up the ticket at Will Call. My friend could no longer go anymore so if you want to attend The International on Thursday-Saturday, I'm more than happy to give you the ticket because I do not want it to go to waste.

You might miss out on some secret shop items cause they'll be sold out. There will be enough swag bags at the event so don't worry. They punch a hole in your pass to indicate whether you've gotten one or not.

Watching doto for 10 hours is pretty exhausting but if you have energy, you can hang around downtown/pike place

Whenever you go anywhere outside the West Coast and say you're from Washington everyone assumes you mean D.C.

Cancel your hotel immediately and get on AirBnB or similar site. There are MANY reputable locations within 10 minutes walking distance of the venue for under $100/night. You really do not want to be driving 30 minutes to get there. You're barely having a vacation at that point!

Swag bags were allocated to the badges so there should be one there for you no matter what. The secret shop can sell out of certain items on the first day (it did last year - mouse pads and certain sizes of hoodies).

If Valve adds more player/talent + fan interaction (signings, speakings, demos) you will miss out on some, but they have no announced anything at all about the event yet. The only thing like that last year were art demos; there were no official voice actor or player interactions.

I stayed at Hostel Green Tortoise Seattle, WA‎ when I was there two years ago. I booked very early though. Was a pretty decent place for a shared room hostel. Walking distance of the venue that time but not the same venue this time. So a long walk, still doable.

Bring something to block out sound though when sleeping. In centre of the city with bad sound proofing so a lot of traffic noise.
