I have been around the site for more than 5 years now. Started of as a quiet, curious lurker, intimidated to even say a word in SC related threads due to being a complete noob, in anywhere else due to having bad English, and by generally being not a very social guy.
I quietly stuck around, though. Eventually finding a sub forum I could relate to a bit better than to SC (I feel unworthy to even gaze upon the magnificence of the drama that fills those sacred forums to this day).
Eventually, I have decided that my English was good enough to start contributing a bit more than just attacking people who posted xenophobic remarks in the Dota sub forum. I started translating stuff.
That made me a TL staff “writer” (apparently, to become an official TL “translator” you have to go through quite a shady and suspicious process, and I care for my soul). I got more involved and met a bunch of cool people, I even managed to be nice to them for a time. I felt like I became a part of the family.
Unfortunately, I’m not really a family kind of guy and just have a ton of issues in general. I needed to go for an extensive TL break at one point, I didn’t even know if I ever planned to come back, but you all always gave me something to do, someone to talk to or someone to flame. So I came back to keep the toxicity level of our Dota 2 Coverage Skype convo from falling down to becoming too civil. I never plan to leave again. You'll just have to deal with that.
The experienced I’ve got here helped me get a job to advance the glorious ESPORTS elsewhere (where my title is called by what I actually do, Heyoka).
All the work I’ve done with you guys, all the endless overwhelmingly negative and toxic discussions, all the games I threw with you, it all helped me a lot. I don’t know what I would have been doing without you all.
