(i dont know anything about fighting) so like how does it work? like after u get them into the choke is it pretty much an easy win after it? I remember reading on TL that fighting on ur back in BJJ is okay so what options does the other guy have if ur on ur back and just waiting to do that triangle choke on him

I liked, especially the couple where you went from mount and transitioned into the triangle. Personally, I learned to counter the triangle by stacking, stepping over towards the weaker side, and jerking out, but you run the risk of your opponent sweeping your leg.

SF-Fork Russian Federation1401 Posts December 15 2014 16:12 GMT #6 Our head instructor usually teaches that defense, which is very nice because it doesn't work on me, and makes my job easier :D The easiest way to defend my version of the triangle is to apply the Roger Gracie defense, which consists in putting my bent leg on the mat. Most practitioners who are better than me and know my game just avoid the triangle in the first place and never give me a chance to lock it in.

My friend does bjj (he has encouraged me to join but i'm a pansy ass wimp) and I enjoy watching the tournaments he participates. Your triangle chokes are quick when you throw them, but they don't seem very tight. A bit of posturing and it shouldn't be hard to break out. You need to be quicker with tightening that triangle choke. Most of the time I see you readjusting your legs (your ankle inside the knee) after you throw a triangle. That readjustment gives your opponent time to posture up and break it. What do you transition after a triangle? Or can you throw them consistently enough to force a tap?

First, I attempted to put together a video in which all of these triangles get the tap. A couple of times I got wristlocks and shoulder locks from them, instead of the choke. The problem is that with the full sequence, the highlight ended up being around 6 minutes long and I thought it was boring. Here's one such example, in which it takes me around 90 seconds to actually get the tap.
