A Humble Request



Act I

When I was but a little lad
Who, daily, played this game,
The fun and joy I always had
Beside my brother and my dad
(Although our strats were kinda sad)
Would always stay the same.

And so we fought, the Terrans three
Against the vile Zerg Swarm,
But all our grasps at victory
Were unaccomplished - for, you see,
For every Zerg we killed with glee
Another was reborn.

And... ugh, those drones, those nasty beasts
They stymied all our plans,
For in the wake of their defeats
The enemy sent one, at least
To reconstruct their vicious feast
Upon the flesh of man.

And where our Battlecruisers went
The Hives, they crumbled fast!
But then my fatal order sent
My victory fleet to supplement
My brother's, watching their descent...
The Zerg took out the last.

And when our vision disappeared
A drone was then dispatched
And suddenly a thing quite queer
Resounded in three pairs of ears
We scanned an expo somewhere near
A Zerg base had just hatched!

And so it went, our spines now chilled
Till three had turned to one,
My brother, of us, strongest-willed
Was holding on but dying still
But even he was finally killed
The enemy had won.

Act II

'Twas many years, but finally
I now controlled the Swarm
My father played no longer, see -
My brother shared his destiny
And I was left alone to be
My own insectoid storm.

And many strats I would invent
Such as my old pride play -
Three prongs: First guardians I sent
Then ultraling in front, to dent
His forces, during which I went
With mutas to his main.

But for the terror I had wrought
Upon my newfound throne
I made sure that I'd not forgot
The days when I'd forever plot
How, with my dad and bother not
To lose the game of drones.

That was the element of the game
That judged how well I'd play,
If I made bases, workers trained
And saturated nat and main
I'd honor my own family name
With victories for the day.

And so, though I am protoss hence
And have been since '09,
The days of drones are with me since
The drones that brought losses and wins
And even now I'm still convinced
Those drones still chill my spine.

And so, TL, I now implore
With one request, minute:
For all the units I adore
There's one that makes me, me, therefore:
Won't you make me a once more?
(Also, they're kinda cute!)
