My questionable costume for this Halloween Will be batty and clever and suited in green; A fitting persona for me, it would seem.
I’ve always enjoyed a good puzzle or trick, And this supervillain is mentally quick Yet quite able-bodied, despite his gold stick.
With stumpers and quandaries from dusk until dawn, A literal E.Nigma is how I am drawn; So let me be Frank: go and Carrey on.
With this comical poem, I hope it is clear that a genius pun-master is bound to appear: I am going to be the Riddler this year.
I prefer this costume over his others.
My fiancee and her friends are doing a supervillain-themed group for a party, and as I'll be in Philly visiting her for Halloween, I wanted to make sure I had an appropriate costume ^^
I'm interested in hearing what your typical October 31sts look like nowadays!
Do you have any plans for Halloween? What Halloween costume are you wearing this year (if any)? What's your favorite Halloween costume of all time?

My costume for this year:
(will take pics on Oct 31)

My plans: Not fall into a commercial cashgrab and waste money.

Is Halloween an important thing in both the US and the UK ?

I decided my Halloween costume will just be photoshopped on the next day, as I don't have all the available resources to make what i want.

I don't know about the UK, but Halloween is pretty important in the US for a lot of people (kids get dressed up and go trick-or-treating, families decorate their front porches and lawns, high school/ college kids get dressed up and party, schools often contribute to the Halloween activities, etc.).

Ray, that Dino Toss costume never gets old ^^

So you're going to be an economist for Halloween?
One year back in high school, I dressed up as a stereotypical "nerd" (glasses with duct tape, calculator in my pocket, suspenders... basic Steve Urkel costume) and everyone asked me why I didn't wear a costume

What costume were you hoping to make/ wear?
Also, sloppy MS Paint looks so much better than real photoshop!

Wanted to go as Drow Ranger, but I think all my efforts would be wasted as no one here even knows who that is. So it was going to be as close to a real looking Drow costume as possible in PS. I guess MS Paint for fun though.

Ah gotcha Yeah I wasn't familiar with Drow Ranger (I don't play DotA), but I google imaged her and that costume looks awesome!
It's always a pity when you spend a lot of time and effort on a niche costume, pull it off super well, and then no one recognizes you That's one of the coolest things about Comic Cons haha... that your costume will surely be noticed and appreciated ^^

Must be popular this year, less than three hours ago I saw some chunky white guy in a fully decked out sub-zero costume pumping gas beside me at the Shell station. I kept staring at him, hoping he'd make a funny remark, but he just kept looking away, glancing quickly for a nanosecond to see if I was still looking. I finally said "Cold night, huh?" and he didn't answer, still looking down, and soon left. Kind of pissed me off acting like that while dressed as one of the most badass ninjas in all of media history. Now if he roundhouse kicked me in the face, that would have been awesome.
Anyway, I thought I would scare the crap out of the kids this year, so I got some 5 inch monster boots to put me nearly 7 feet tall, along with my custom Myers Halloween mask (super movie accurate) and some weathered tattered black clothes (shredded holes, liquid latex, dried mud, the works). Wore it a few years ago and turned out great, should have an even better effect with the boots though. =]

Yeah that's kinda weird that he went all out but didn't actually roleplay!
Your costume sounds perfect for scaring little kids lol... are you going to answer your door like that when they ring your doorbell for trick-or-treating? Or are you going somewhere on Halloween where you'll inevitably see kids walking around?

A little of both probably. Going to have some beers with some friends, one of which is supposed to wear a killer Jason costume (undermask hood, spine sticking out, the works so he says). Will answer the door for a bit, then go walking around the neighborhood (Is a huge one, always tons of kids everywhere). Should be fun =]
