-------------------------------------------- Liquipedia --------------------------------------------
This blog is in honour of my first LP bronze coin. I was never very keen on editing Liquipedia in the first place because I had no idea what I was doing, or where I was supposed to find info on players to fill out the pages. But packrat386 called me up on Skype and forcefully linked me to a page and linked me several other reference pages as edits. But I kinda looked at it all in confusion and closed it, feeling overwhelmed.
However, not long later, at work I was asked to enter some more data into a table on our website. I tried for about five minutes using only the rich text editor, and failed to match the style of the other columns. That was when I discovered the 'source code' button, and I clicked it. I copied the text from another field and pasted it in, and then changed the particulars within all the confusing brackets. After previewing I was suddenly impressed and inspired to learn a little bit more about html and css. Now, a large portion of my work is involved in editing and updating my work website and yet I still barely know anything.
One evening I was sitting in my usual irc channels, talking shit with my usual friends, when I saw packrat386 change his nick to salle[]. Hmm. The only thing I knew about salle was that he was the main LP guy, and so I assumed there must be shenanigans going on in #liquipedia. I joined it for a moment to find out what was going on, and there was tonnes of nick swapping going on. No sooner had I joined than packrat jokingly told me to get out and never return. I left, and an instant later salle had messaged me pleading leniency on packrat's harsh words, not realizing that packrat and I had an existing relationship, and so I returned. That was how my affair with Liquipedia began. For the most part over the next few months I idled in the channel, watching people talk, and not understanding a thing about {{Pl|}} or {{Ro|}} or pretty much anything else they talked about. I often derailed the channel into off topic conversation, asking personal questions and complaining about my life. What I didn't realize was that the people I thought I was boring to death with my stories were actually bonding with me. I only began to realize this after I wrote a blog that was particularly well received by my #liquipedia friends.
Over TI4 I had a friend over at my house to watch the games and he asked me what time the first game of the evening started. I referred to my dear friend Liquipedia, and while I was scrolling down I discovered a typo on the main page! The horror. I clicked edit, logged in, and changed it myself. Wow, that was easy! From there I was unstoppable. I clicked 'random page', scrolled through and fixed typos. Even if the article or tournament was 3 years old IT HAD TO BE CHANGED! I earned a reputation in the channel as grammar and typo fixerer. But only when I felt like it, which was once a month or so. LP Review - The Next Big Step
The more I spent time hanging out in the channel the more I loved the community there. Everyone was so genuine and friendly, everyone wanted to help. They even put up with my nonsense when I tried to coerce them into playing Dota 2 (the majority of them are SC2 fans

-------------------------------------------- Live Reporting --------------------------------------------
At some point I got a temporary new service provider which gave me just enough speed and bandwidth to be able to watch streams on low quality. Not ideal, but certainly infinitely better than being unable to watch at all. With this little boost I was able to participate in LRs and the hype that went on around tournaments. It all started when I asked Lorning if he needed any banners, and he gave me the LR banner for IEM Toronto to do. After playing around with some ideas, Lorning picked one and used it. I got unusually hyped for the tournament and watched it alongside everyone else in the thread, I even learned how Shellshock got his ridiculously high post count with only one monitor.
Following that I started watching more tournaments and then created my first LR thread (KeSPA Cup 2014 Finals) because The_Templar was too tired

-------------------------------------------- Fan Art --------------------------------------------
Pretty self explanatory section. I did a whole bunch of fan art, and I have lots more WiP to come. I honestly love the SC2 and Dota 2 fantasy scene, they appeal wildly to my imagination, so I will at some point get around to uploading them to my tumblr art blog when I remember what my password is. For now, here:

If you want to see more I actually have a page here so feel free to go criticize me and stuff. I'm kinda considering starting a community portrait thread/blog at some point where we can all draw each other. Great community building skills, right? I think it could be fun.
-------------------------------------------- Trivia --------------------------------------------
#liquipedia
- When I joined TL I didn't even know Estonia existed. Then I met fusefuse who is actually kinda cool but for some reason I thought he hated me. ANYHOW he was the only Estonian I knew and so when some guy called fomal started getting active in irc I naturally questioned him. Turns out he is from Estonia too! WHAT ARE THE ODDS?!!?! I made a joke a couple of times about how he is maybe a fusefuse alt because it was completely impossible that there was more than one person living in Estonia AND visiting irc. Fomal and fusefuse never seemed to be online at the same time either, so I started getting suspicious. Then one day I was explaining my theory to Yhamm that perhaps fomal and fusefuse were actually brothers since they had the same surname when it turned out that THE WHOLE CHANNEL had known for ages that they were brothers and no-one told me ;_;
- pPingu doesn't like football and he didn't support the Swiss team in the WC.
- Clubfan has great faith in me and my SC2 abilities; he invited me to join Team LickyPiddy for the SC2Improve tournament, and though I have yet to play a game and I am easily the worst member of the team, he somehow puts up with me being there and encourages me to play more. I am super appreciative of him and his patience and I am honoured to be a part of Team LickyPiddy! ( http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/SC2Improve_Team_League_S3/Group3A )
- I learned the FO-nTTaX is a genius with templates and I am intimidated by his endless wisdom. But he is a cool guy.
- Gecko is more of a chameleon because he has so many alternative nicks. It is kinda hard to keep up with. But I made this blog specially for him so he would get off my case

- I look forward to the day I can get Yhamm, Chapa, Androxide, pPingu and Aeromi into a french conversation on TS

Real life
- I guess all the news I have on this front is that I am still employed! \ü/ Okay so it is hard and stressful work, but it is a lot nicer being busy and coming home exhausted than being idle all day and still being exhausted. I have some goals to work toward - mainly involving getting my drivers licence so I can legally drive the car I saved up to buy a few months ago. Followed by, more importantly, getting papers to get out of this hell hole of a country. I could rage forever about the shit it has caused my family and friends, but this is a celebratory and motivational blog so I am going to keep this positive

- I am a bit of a jack of all trades and a master of none. I like trying new things even though I rarely stick them out all the way. I dance, I ride, I swim, I run, I paint, I write stories and poems and shitty long blogs, I learn languages. And yet I don't shine at anything. But I have learned to not expect myself to, and so I am never disappointed.
