my experience has not been as bad as yours. but its been close. considering the many feats of engineering excellence Blizzard routinely pulls off. you'd figure a launcher would be a walk in the park. guess not. | ||

I don't see how any request would help. Whether it's still in beta or not I don't know but how hard can it be to code a working launcher? Really hard apparently. | ||

So they have more and more people asking to fix it so they can actually take the time to fix it. Or they might help you and call you on that matter. Having a launcher for multiple games / platform that manage auto-updates with regional download and managing queues to set download for better location etc.. is indeed not an easy thing to do. And i doubt they have many ressources on the project. Also it is understandable that they have long testing time for feature and bug fix since if it's not working you can't access your games. Just be carefull if you launch SC2 by bypassing it's launcher because for every minor updates there is you will be unable to access the game. I had that issue a while ago (not the same as you, but problem for the launcher). I'm still trying to remember what was done to it (i e-mail blizzard and ending up with a tech calling me on my cellphone). If i remember what was the fix for launcher issue i'll post it here. Might not work though since it's not quite the same problem. | ||

I had this problem ever since this new battlenet came out: it created a shortcut on my desktop for battlenet and for SC2. Both not working. Reinstalling wasn't of any help but I could manually select a exe file from \StarCraft II\Battle.net\Battle.net.exe That worked for a couple of months, after that I reinstalled it again, hoping Blizzard finally fixed the bug. Nothing. So proceed as usual. I hate workarounds. When I now click on the shortcut or exe, I get a new message: "We've detected a newer version of Battle.net then you're attempting to launch. You may need to fix your shortcuts" Dude, I am clicking on the motherf*cking exe provided by you guys, not on a shortcut. There is a Button "Continue with Latest Version". When I click on it, it shows mi the message that led to the workaround in first place: "Required Battle.net data could not be found. Please check your application directory and try again" Anyone having the same error and knows a solution? Temporary solution: opening the support folder and execute SC2Switcher.exe | ||
