Bet that title got some attention; it's not derogatory, I swear! Anyway, I know Team Liquid has been fairly notable in the eSports scene for a couple of years now -- most people who're in to "eSports" have heard of them -- but it feels like in the grand expanse that is gaming general, they're still just little guys.
That's why it's a little suprising, but cool, when you see something physical -- something commercial -- in front of you. I know it's supposed to be the other way around, for all intents and purposes, but when you have a Kingston rep come to your company to let you know about their new product, boasting that Team Liquid and Alliance use their headphones... Well, damn, it's cool. It's surreal. It feels like, "man, the community.... This community is legitimate now."
Funny what a box can do.
Spoiler for fear I'm seen as an advert bot. Though if you guys want, I can defs give my early impressions. Sorry I didn't take a closer picture with my phone -- didn't take a picture at all, as I didn't think of it at the time, and this is one of only two box pictures available on the web so far, but it works, kinda. + Show Spoiler +

I work at NCIX (Canadian online retailer.) First thing I noticed was the TL logo, as it jumped-out immediately since... it's, uh, the TL logo I brought it up as I saw it and he was just opening his mouth to say the name hahah. He gave a pretty smarmy look when that happened, like h was thinking, "easiest promotion of my life." Cool guy, though, just a funny instance.

Never knew Kingston sold headsets. Not sure if it's impressive that it was designed in Sweden. Looks good in a simple way.

Legitimacy of a community is a function of the extent to which it's exploited by businesses?

Is there any other definition in modern society?
Anyway, that's a really cool story OP. TL being cited as a good reason to buy something is always welcome.

I just meant that eSports/Team Liquid is truly a big deal now. Feels like the initial video-game or skateboarding crash. Super-big popularity bubble in the 80s, then almost died, but now it's legitimately an industry.
