How exactly do you do it? And this is for those who don't watch Starcraft as part of your job.
During Normal time, it starts from 1AM-4AM, depending on where in the United States you're in. Daylight Savings, 2AM-5AM. It usually goes on anywhere from 3-5 hours. So for those of you who watch it live, either because you don't have a Season Pass/Subscription, or you just like watching it live, how exactly do you do it and still function during the day?
I used to watch it live back when I didn't have many responsibilities. Nowadays, when I still have a bit of insomnia due to those days, or for some other reason I stay up that late, I'll catch part of it, but can never watch through the whole thing before falling asleep.
Europe is fine, it's on around 9AM or later in most countries on the continent.
I would really like to know how people in the US can watch GSL Live and still function during the day, and what reasons they do so if they do. Call this a very curiosity-oriented blog.

I don't watch GSL but I watch Pro League live a lot. The key to doing this is to be unemployed =p.

Yeah, but even if you weren't unemployed, you'd still be able to follow Pro League if you just subscribed to their Youtube Channel, since they upload the VODs the same day/next day. Would probably put you on a normal sleeping schedule as well.
So I guess I have the how. What about the why? Why watch it live when you could watch the VODs the next day?

I don't live in the US, but my suggestion is that if you are not going out that night, sleep early at like 9 PM, wake up for the matches, and then go back to sleep afterwards. I live in GMT +8 so Proleague/GSL are in the evening for me. But when I watch other sports such as football that take place around 1AM, I use that method. Never felt tired during the day.
But it's probably eaiser for me compared to others because my usual sleeping time is around 10-11PM to 6-7AM. For those who habitually sleep very late, it may be hard to go to bed at 9PM.

How long do Football matches go on for? 3-5 hours, comparable? I'm assuming you're still sleeping 7-8 hours. So sleeping from 9PM to 1AM is 4 hours. Let's say the game lasts until 5-6. So you would sleep until 9-10AM then?

Or maybe they just go sleep deprived? People do that all the time and suck it up dude.

Maybe you sleep until 7-8AM. 6-7 hours of sleep won't kill you if you do it 2-3 times a week.
