Man, these past two years have been incredible. Rotti and me flew from Dusseldorf Germany to Rancho Cucamonga California in March of 2012 to work, not on WCS, but on the North American Star League season 3. To this day, I think the team we put together then was the best I've ever been a part of, and that first year was the most fun I've ever had working on StarCraft. Since that time much of the eSports landscape has changed drastically, but I've never loved my job and this industry as much as I do today.
The choice to leave ESL to come work at NASL was a tough one. The choice I've made to move on from NASL was tougher still. I've accepted a position at Red Bull to work with their eSports team. It will be a new job with lots of new challenges, but I can promise that one thing won't be changing: StarCraft will still be a huge part of who I am and what I do both personally and professionally.
It would be impossible for me to thank everyone who's touched my life and helped me reach this point in my career without forgetting many, but I have to recognize at least a few of them: First and foremost, Rotti has been one of my closest friends and colleagues for over three years now. Everything I've accomplished in these past three years, I've accomplished with him. Love you Kev. Can't wait to see what kind of crazy shit we get into next.
A massive thanks to the entire NASL team, but especially to Russell Pfister and Mark Brown for taking a chance on me. I also have to mention Gretorp, Frodan, Clutch, Elliot, Mike, Josh and Morgan - the NASL OGs who made working here so much fun.
To Blizzard: You guys are amazing. Thank you for making the game of StarCraft, and thank you more for allowing me to work on it. Kim, you're doing great work with the eSports team, and WCS 2014 is going to be the best yet!
And last but certainly not least, thanks to my family and girlfriend (and our two cats) for all the support through the years. Its not always easy to make it work in eSports, and I probably wouldn't be here if you guys hadn't had my back this whole time.
To the community: Don't be sad. Rotti's going to continue to anchor WCS America (and it's going to be the best show ever now that he doesn't have to carry me anymore) and I'm sure we'll find new exciting ways to work together. I can't say what we’ll be doing at Red Bull just yet but I promise we'll be blazing trails and putting on the best shows we possibly can.
GG WP I met Ben at Blizzcon and man, I have to say, he is such a good guy, and makes a great team with Rotti. I hope Rotti can join him as well. The power of two! Congrats
much love <3 we'll miss you at NASL/WCS AM (what's Rotti gonna do without you? I dunno Kev, I dunno), but you still do SC2 related stuff with RedBull, right?
Much love, Ben. I remember when I first met you and Kev back at IEM Cologne all that time ago. Things sure are different now but the fact that you and Kev are both role models for me in eSports hasn't changed. Until spending time with you guys in Germany, I had no idea what it looked like to throw everything you had at making something you love better. I'm so excited to see what you do next and what you and Kev do next, together. Say hi to Kani for me!

Nice to see how far you've came since the show you started in the beginning of StarCraft. Best of luck on your next journey. Redbull has got to be one of the coolest places to work at, and the esports team of all things.
You and Rotti got me into starcraft. Three years ago at Nasl season 2 finals (I think). Thank you. I know it isn't the end, but thank you. You and Rotterdam will always be kings of the duo cast.
When you and Rotti casted at the WCS America Season 1 finals, I knew that I looked forward to seeing the two of you cast. You've always remained my favorite casting duo and seeing the two of you cast some of the most amazing games always made me smile.
Best of luck to you in your endeavors! WCS America will never be the same!
It is not so long ago, I have tweeted, that Bitterdam is my favourite caster duo. You guys are just little less geeky Tastosis casting archon. Great chemistry and lot of fun. It is little sad on one hand for me, but I am really happy, that such a cool guy like you, was able to move further in his life. GL at RedBull.
Mr. Bitter and Rotti are my favorite casters individually and together, sad that you won't be doing WCS together but i'm looking forward to what's coming next from you!
Having been there from the very beginning, from the early days of Bitter laddering and grabbing coaching from Geoff, and then watching that blossom into the groundbreaking series that was 12 weeks, Ben should be a huge inspiration to everyone out there and not just in a Starcraft sense.
It shows what can be achieved with ambition, dedication, focus and hard work. Whilst the second series of 12 weeks didn't quite live up to the first (Sorry Ben), the resulting move to ESL was well deserved and made Ben very well known. NASL cemented his place in SC2 esports in America and ensured his name was known throughout the world.
This latest move does not surprise me and the Bitter journey shall not end at Red Bull. Ben can go as far as he wants. He has a single-minded attitude that will allow him to achieve any goal he wishes.
In closing, Idra once said something like - Most people cannot work hard even at something they enjoy. Ben definitely can and does.
<3 MrBitterino <3 You've been my first ... in so many retrospects. I know you'll make it work where ever you go. Would love to see you jump over to Europe once in a while, again. You got fans here too, you know^^.
I remember first watching 12 weeks with the pros and thinking "wow this guy must really love starcraft to bully all these players into getting on his show" and then I heard the story on realtalk of Mr. Bitter chatting up JP at an MLG pissbreak about his derpy show. It goes to show that he always had such an immense dedication to contribute. GL Man! Let's hope Roti can deal with solocasting until they find him a worthy partner, I remember Kaelaris doing EU challenger all by himself last year and looking gutted by the end of each cast .
Aw man, Mr. Bitter and Rotterdam were awesome together. I hope they can find opportunities to cast again in the future. Anyway, best of luck Mr. Bitter, and I hope this move proves to be a good one for you. You put a lot of yourself into entertaining us and deserve the opportunity to move forward in your career. Can't wait to watch you at the next Red Bull event =)
i was sad as shit when you moved to NA to cast nasl, but nasl got massively awesome and i watched near everything of it during s3 and s4. i really hope i can see you guys cast together again (hsc pretty please?), until then best of luck with red bull
Rotti & Mr. Bitter... loved you since you were on ESL tv. had so much fun watching you guys (I mean you & Rotti). Hope you will carry on on your own way :> GL HF, <3
