8Bit Pokemon Ringtones for iPhone

LastDance New Zealand510 Posts October 31 2013 05:04 GMT #1 The other day my colleague's cellphone went off with a very old school and nostalgic tune as a ringtone, it was the Super Mario theme. This: The thing that really got me was how good the 8 bit chiptune sounded as a ringtone. This got me thinking of other iconic Gameboy tunes that would port well as mobile ringtones. The first game that came to mind was Pokémon. I then went to hunt down the original Pokémon soundtrack and then sampled the most appropriate tracks. I was mainly looking for alertive and fast tracks - they seemed most appropriate as ringtones - so I landed on some battle themes and some event tracks. Call me old school but 8 bit chiptune sounds far nicer than polyphonic for ringtones. (with the longwinded ass process you have to use for every MP3 you want as a ringtone on ur iphone) Its not file format that makes the sound 8bit, is it?
