Meh, this is something I always discussed a lot with people. Revealing for the sake of being revealing or for the sake of aesthetics. A lot of time people dress revealingly in some context for the sake of it itself without it contributing to aesthetics and it just looks silly in this way. however revealing can contribute to aesthetic.

I like skirts short enough for parts of cheeks to be visible. Without panties. I think this is a rhetorical question.

I've had to crossdress a few times. Bikini, skirt, bra, loincloth, etc. I think it is an Asian right of passage. Or maybe I'm just exceptionally sexy.
'right of passage' part obviously a joke but the anecdote is true

2 or 3. Speaking of which what is it with girls trying to wear jean shorts like Bey when they don't have the derrière to pull it off? I like how people follow fashion faux pas. >_<

I work on the beach of a condo resort and I very often see European tourists come here wearing speedos and a few even in thongs.
I guess on topic though.. I think mid-thigh skirts is the typical length for most girls I see. but I hardly ever see skirts.

yea ok I am not surprised anymore when it was in italy, because my other guess would have been a gay bar

I like the second one :D - however I am male and it's unlikely that I'm going to wear a skirt;

I like the first or second one, they accentuate the girl's beauty rather than her buttocks.

Then she might as well remove the skirt.

I was in Europe a few months ago and tiny jean shorts on guys is apparently a thing. YES! I was in Italy over the summer and they have the worst fashion sense ever. The dudes were mostly dressed up in leather with slicked back, black hair or wore clothes that showed their chest. The women dressed more fashionably but quite immodestly compared to American clothing. All the old guys had visible chest hair and gold chains. It was like a parody of 1980's middle-class suburbia in America, but without the parody and with all the hyperbole.

Yeah idk why Euros are so obsessed with speedos... I was in southern France this summer and there were some... disturbing sights at the beach. But I've witnessed similar horrors many times before at pools/beaches in northern Europe as well.

I like the 2nd one the most. Actually I just went out and bought 2 really cute skirts around that length today ^_^
When I was younger, I mostly preferred denim skirts, but they look a little childish on me now. These days I love cute frilly white ones the most

Strangely, I've also had to cross dress. (I make an ugly woman, I think.)
More towards the OP, I think that a good skirt length depends largely on what else is being worn with it. A nice long skirt can be just as good as a shorter skirt, depending on what else is in the ensemble.

its about the legs
You need the ass to back it up too. The shorts I've seen don't fit right man. It just looks wrong. I questioned whether or not they actually tried them on before buying or if it's just, "Well everyone else is doing it so I might as well too?" If you want to do it, do it right. Buy a pair that actually fits even if you don't have a butt. They need to fit right. >_< I saw one too many at the Taste of the Danforth and it looked like they were wearing their mom's shorts because their entire figure got lost in them lol.
